Worker output fell 7.5% in the first quarter, the biggest decline since 1947
At the same time, labor costs as measured against productivity soared 11.6%, bringing the
increase over the past four quarters to 7.2%, the fastest rise in about 40 years.
Weekly jobless claims increased to 200,000, well above the Wall Street estimate.

Death on an epic scale.

Interesting.
The scale of death is far greater than the WHO has reported.
From CNN...
(CNN)About 14.9 million people around the world died as a direct or indirect result of Covid-19 in the period
between January 1, 2020, and December 31, 2021, according to new estimates from the World Health Organization -- nearly three times more deaths than were officially reported.
There were 5.4 million Covid-19 deaths reported to WHO during that timeframe, resulting in an excess mortality
estimate of 9.5 million more deaths than what was reported.
"Excess mortality is...
The 14.9 million deaths include "deaths directly attributed to Covid-19 that were reported to WHO, deaths directly attributed to Covid-19 that were not counted or reported ... deaths indirectly associated with the pandemic due to the wider impact on health systems and society,

deaths directly attributed to Covid-19 that were not counted or reported
So they are just making up a number? This is what you are putting stock in?

"Making up numbers?"
I doubt it.
The WHO's methodology for arriving at this conclusion is not adequately revealed in this article.
I would like to know more about how they arrive at their conclusion.

If you think Covid is over you are sadly mistaken.
I SERIOUSLY expect that a series of new highly virulent and highly infectious SARS-CoV-2 (SC-2) variants
will now rapidly and independently emerge in highly vaccinated countries all over the world and that
they will soon spread at high pace. I expect the current pattern of repetitive infections and relatively
mild disease in vaccinees to soon aggravate and be replaced by severe disease and death.

Yes.
As I said a few months ago, the real pandemic has not even begun.

Omicron Subvariant BA.2.12.1 Poised To Become Dominant In U.S.
This Week; Already Driving Covid Hospitalizations In New York
In the region comprised of New York, New Jersey and Connecticut, where the subvariant was first identified,
it is already tied to 66% of new cases sequenced. As of the past weekend, hospitalizations and deaths in New
York were up 38% and 24%, respectively.
It’s important to note that BA.2 had already begun sending those numbers up before BA.2.12.1 took hold, but
the new variant seems to be supercharging the increases in those important categories.
Across Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Virginia, BA.2.12.1 makes up 48% of new cases. The Southeast is close
behind...

North Korea
Apparently some kind of "national lockdown" happened in NK yesterday.
Something is going on in Pyongyang: Multiple sources told NK News that people ordered indoors
due to national lockdown/national problem. Large lines of people seen suddenly rushing home
at around 2pm this afternoon.
The national problem is their leader and their form of government.

Folks, pause and really look at this chart for a few minutes...
The tech bubble that popped in the early 2000's was completely insane, and look how far we have now rocketed past that.
The markets are SO insanely overvalued now, and it is all on the back of HUGE deficit spending.
They should have let it go down all the way in '08, and let is all wash out.
Should have gone down to around 3,000.
But they jacked it up and it is all fake.
Same in 2020.
If it is allowed to fall, it will fall from 36,800 (the high) all the way down to around 5,000, imo.
Unless more, MUCH more deficit spending comes.
Will they somehow jack it up again and keep the farce going?
Is it even possible to do so?
Realistically, the Dow Jones should be at around 4 or 5,000 right now. If it was a real market.
The day ultimately does arrive when the bill is due.

Thanks for the update, Jsc!
Most of the living would probably end up in China.
Some in Russia.
But a sizeable number also here in SK.

SK, which just had a new president (conservative party) sworn in, has supposedly offered to send health supplies, but has not gotten a response from NK yet.
In the past, NK has never accepted such help from the South.
Yes, this is quite an interesting situation right now.

It is rightful to conclude that the death toll is FAR greater than what NK reports.
Virus or not, a LOT of folks are sick and dying in NK.
Now if the virus is running rampant, many more will die.

The US is likely to see #monkeypox cases linked to the European outbreak, @CDCgov says.

Monkeypox in multiple countries at once with NO links to one another. Widespread disease has
NEVER been seen before. Immunodeficiency a known significant risk factor. HIV to AIDS prior

African scientists baffled by monkeypox cases in Europe, US
LONDON (AP) — Scientists who have monitored numerous outbreaks of monkeypox in Africa say they are
baffled by the disease's recent spread in Europe and North America.
Cases of the smallpox-related disease have previously been seen only among people with links to central
and West Africa. But in the past week, Britain, Spain, Portugal, Italy, U.S., Sweden and Canada all reported
infections, mostly in young men who hadn’t previously traveled to Africa...
Snap stock was hammered (-31%) in after hours trading -- on "an economic environment that has deteriorated further and faster than expected."

Quite an interesting/disturbing situation unfolding, imo.

The WHO has raised the mokeypox threat to -----> moderate.
It’s clear from the scale of the outbreak that the virus has been transmitting undetected for some time, and it
is likely larger than is currently recognized. “The sudden appearance and wide geographic scope of many
sporadic cases indicates that widespread human-to-human transmission is already underway, and the virus
may have been circulating unrecognized for several weeks or longer,” the agency said.
“Currently, the overall public health risk at a global level is assessed as moderate considering this is the first
time that monkeypox cases and clusters are reported concurrently in widely disparate WHO geographical areas,”
the global health agency said...
