My first job was a lifeguard at a waterpark when I was 16 years old. When the park closed we had cleaning duties which involved straightening up the lawn chairs, gathering up all the tubes, and picking up trash. Our bosses were hardcore about the waterpark's cleanlingness, so E-V-E-R-Y piece of trash had to be picked up including cigarette butts. I, a non-smoker, picked up more cigarette butts during that summer than any smoker has in their lifetime.

We have two exit areas in my office and the main entry and exit to the office is not far from a smoking area just outside the building where they have those sand trays for cigarette butts. However, the other exit is a much quicker route to get outside the building so the smokers can light up. There is no such designated disposal or sand trays for people to discard their butts, so when my coworkers are done smoking, I see that all to familiar flick of the cigarette onto the ground or into the grass. Some bad memories there.

That is what really peeves me, is the littering. Its so easy to find a waste recepticle withing 50 yards of where someone is standing. How fucking hard is it for you ass-hole smokers to put that lung dart out on the concrete and walk the butt over to a trashcan?
