nobody has any idea of how badly (or not) Woods is injured....I remember posting about 10 years ago that eventually the guy was going to torque himself out of a job....you simply can't put as much stress as Woods puts on his hips and knees and not expect to suffer from it....the same thing is eventually going to happen to McIlroy and Fowler unless they quit swinging so hard....

The game has changed over the last couple of decades, primarily due to the success of Woods. Even long rough isn't the penalty it once was to the new breed of ultra-buff, ~~roided out~~, gym-rat players who take those vicious hacks out of the deep stuff.

I've always had pretty high swing-speed, but my days of trying to jack it 200+ out of long grass are behind me. Slamming the brakes on your upper body while driving it forward as hard as you can is rarely going to end well over time.
