back on topic....

always reluctant to simply include bands I like who I think didn't get enough love, but I guess one persons "underrated" is an others steaming pile of dogshit.....that said

Jethro Tull-primarily because Ian Anderson is probably one of the most underrated acoustic guitar players around

Atomic Rooster-eclectic music and most definitely an acquired taste...wildly frenetic and prone to changing band members like I change socks....

Calling CCR underrated would probably be a stretch, but I still can't believe how Fogerty's first post-CCR project -- a collection of country, gospel and blues covers released under the name Blue Ridge Rangers -- always gets slept on. Fucking amazing album. Better than the last two Creedence records, for sure.

Not sure if anybody's mentioned the Beat Farmers here yet. Best band that ever came out of San Diego.
