NOTHING! And I repeat NOTHING is going to stop the market from going up and up and up for the next couple years at least!
The low interest rates are the biggest factor and they aren't going up again until the $22 trillion debt is paid off. And since the interest rates are so low the FEDS are pumping BILLIONS into the market every month! Ever heard of Quantitative Easing???
The market will hit 40k before it ever goes down!

Stanley, the China issue will "Trump" all of the fiscal trickery, imo.
And a very steep market decline could very well be among the least of the issues America will face.

China doesn't reenact the Holocaust for a simple flu.
China's actions have consequences.
Poptart is next door in South Korea. He sees shit going down which we're not going to, and which will be hidden from us until it's not.
If the markets rise in spite of Mega Producer China intentionally suiciding, then something worse is happening. What would that something worse be?
China's response to Coronavirus is changing the game globally and commercially. The same goes for governments' responses behind the veil.
But you have a different hunch. Explain it.

That meth tweet about manipulating earnings around when he broke up with Azealia Banks and got with Grimes should have permanently torpedoed stocks. I want Tesla to succeed. It can't with Elon out of control.
On the other hand, if it was a giveaway, why not keep it? What else are you going to invest in instead? (Property? or...?)

Are the translations legitimate? because this is how a real civil war starts. Or used to, at any rate.
Fuck Youtube for the thumbnail choice. Had to be intentional.
As for something else in that thread, why did the State Department supercede the CDC? Since when can the government pull rank on government medical professional advice? Why wasn't a plane chartered specifically for American Coronavirus carriers? What is the purpose of exposing healthy citizens to coronavirus infectees?

How long have you been sitting on a short position? Generally you don’t hold onto that for long as even if the market declines, but you held the stock short for 2 years, you still lose out. Shorting stocks for any length of time may be the worst idea yet.

As for Italy, 3 infected on Friday jumped to 152 on Sunday.

Last 2 days of Venice carnival, cancelled. Ten Italian towns, quarantined. Vast majority of news stories in Italian. Nothing from the BBC, according to Google. US websites don't have anything either, according to Google.
Any bets on how Quarantine, American-style, gets implemented?

World stocks are in the process of taking a beating.
S. Korea and Japan were both down over 3%.
European futures are off 2 to 3%.
U.S. futures are in bad shape -- with the NAZ off 2.5% and the Dow off 2%.
The fed will continue to try to jack up U.S. markets, but the reality of significant world supply chain disruption will soon set in.
There are some really big issues coming into sight now.

It ain't NEWPORT BEACH and it ain't HUNTINGTON BEACH and it ain't even the great city it was thirty years ago.
When people ask me why I moved back from SUNNY ORANGE COUNTY CA...I tell them I'm like a salmon returning
to the place they were born. I didn't spawn and I don't want to die here either....I hate WINTER! And I hate what has
become of Madison.
I'm going somewhere soon...I just don't know where.
I've thought of another country
I've thought of Northern CA ( I love the Western States...and I love Water...the ocean is incredible tranquility )
So...I guess I HATE MADISON! Summer is awesome...late spring and early fall okay...but the other 6 months SuKKKKK!

For the U.S., it’s not if but when, the C.D.C. says.
Americans should brace for the likelihood that the coronavirus will spread to communities in the United States, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention warned Tuesday.
“It’s not so much of a question of if this will happen in this country any more but a question of when this will happen,” said Dr. Nancy Messonier, director of the National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases.
She said that public health officials have no idea whether spread of the disease to the United States would be mild or severe, but that Americans should be ready for a significant disruption to their daily lives.
“We are asking the American public to prepare for the expectation that this might be bad,” Dr. Messonier said.

Coronavirus threatens the global economy with a 'sudden stop'
Covid-19 is self-evidently beyond the point of meaningful containment. Virologists and infectious disease experts have known for three weeks that this was highly probable, and certainly not a mere tail-risk as suggested by equity market pricing. We are now there.
The global economy may be heading for some sort of "sudden stop" in supply chains, trade flows and tourism more akin to the outbreak of the First World War than the Lehman or dotcom crises...
