I don't listen to rap, as I stated. I acknowledge the talent involved. That's the extent of it. This is simple reading comprehension, not getting on a treadmill. It doesn't have to be so hard. I understand this is a logic and a dynamic far beyond what your brain can comprehend due to years of shooting heroin and subsequently bacon grease, even assuming your brain once functioned at a remedial level at all which is probably awfully generous on my part.
I don't listen to music for lyrics. Good lyrics are a bonus but not a necessity. Bad lyrics can ruin everything though.

Yep. Same here. Though my radio shows trended to 60s and 70s music, that isn't what I always listen to. You do have to try somewhat to please the audience. When I'm not spinning tunes, I play a lot of blues, jazz and newer indy artists. I used to listen to more late 80s and early 90s rap, but having a 5 year old limits the amount of times I can jam "Straight Outta Compton."Papa Willie wrote:As far as LZ goes - sure - I love them, BUT - I don't at all just listen to just THAT or other 70's stuff. In fact, I would be pretty certain that I my listening enjoyments would cover a far broader base than what you would listen to...

Re: We're talkin' Rock & Roll
Of course I've listened to it. I've listened to lots of stuff I don't call my cup of tea today, but that doesn't mean I'm incapable of acknowledging the talent involved. I don't much care for prog rock anymore either, but I respect the musicianship involved. This is where there is a disconnect for you; this concept is beyond your depth and scope of understanding because it involves having to put two things together. Let me put this in terms maybe you can understand: when you see a fit person jogging down the street, you're capable of acknowledging their self-discipline, but you choose not to partake in that lifestyle because being fit and healthy does nothing for you. You'd rather stuff your fat face with ice cream and fried foods. Let me know if you need more examples.Papa Willie wrote:As much as you've defended it, you'd only be lying to say you didn't listen to it

It's like talking to a child.
1) I have listened to rap, so have you.
2) I am not an active listener, fan or connoisseur of the genre. Neither are you.
HERE'S THE BIG KICKER NOW. ARE YOU PAYING ATTENTION?
3) I can acknowledge the talent involved, you can't.
That's where our differences lie. That's it.
Let me know if you need me to start drawing big bright pictures in crayon.

What's going on here? Why are some ingrates bashing Zep? So what they got some inspiration elsewhere. Are you mad at them for covering Tolkien?
I believe you did. The nun who taught 5th grade English would've bashed my head against the chalkboard for such a transgression.
Glass houses being what they are, maybe you should work on your writing skills before casting stones.
Did you just use two consecutive adverbs in a sentence/paragraph while bashing some other bodies reading comprehension skills?MgoBlue-LightSpecial wrote:This is simple reading comprehension, not getting on a treadmill. Pretty fucking weak, Wags. Grammar and comprehension are two completely different things, anyway.

Spray, I'm going to level with you, bro. You seem like a "good guy." And I'd be genuinely concerned about your catastrophic stupidity, complete lack of self awareness, and extreme attention deficit disorder...if you weren't going to suffer a stroke or heart attack within three years from today. Be well, friend, and take care of yourself. In everything that you do, no matter how large or small the task.

I'm guessing that even if you didn't shave it, there'd be a significant bare patch. It looked to be seriously receding in your earlier pics. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

If I hear a Creed song while driving down the road or cleaning the house, I'm gonna crank it up and rock out and sing to it!

The first time I walked down the nude section of Orient Beach, I was probably the youngest and buffest guy on the beach. Pretty sure that is St Barts. St Maarten is a much larger airport that can handle 747s and A340s.
Granted I could be wrong but since both are on my bucket list, I am pretty sure on this one.

This is the airport in St. Maarten:

There's a smaller airport on the French side, but that's not the one in Scott's picture either. How long ago were you in St. Maarten, Scott? Did you fly there from another island? The airport in your photo doesn't look like it would handle anything more than prop planes.

KC Scott,
I am guessing you didn't visit Maho Beach while in St Maarten. There is a bar just off of the flight path where the jets fly just over the beach and people lay on the sand looking up at the planes less than 100 feet above them.

This shot shows the bar at the far end of the beach and the danger sign in the fore ground.

Some even hang on the fence when the planes are taking off. This I do not recommend.
Here is another view with a MD-80 taking off, shot from the water. (small plane to everyone but LTS)
St Barts is actually far more difficult to get in. There is the hill that you shot your photo from that makes each arrival have a very steep final. Plus the runway isn't long, so you can't float much at all on landing. Pretty much need to land like Navy carrier pilots do. Slam it on.

This guy should have gone around. Lots of issues with this one.

We always hit the Maho Beach bar for a couple of hours the day we leave. It is awesome. Good grub, good drinks, hottie bartenders.
I believe the Travel Channel did a show a while back on Extreme Airports. St. Maarten was #4. Looking forward to going back. St. Maarten is my favorite of all the islands we've been to.
Doubt that I'll ever do a cruise.
