the beans win in a tie breaker. they are pretty much even in IQ, but, a can of beans is useful. i particularly like kidney beans. a salad isn't complete without them.

what is it's a really sharp shovel with a nice fiberglass handle and a particularly slow chicken?

pbj sammies are OK, but there are much better uses for it. btw, i'm talking real peanut butter, not peanut corn syrup butter. real peanut butter is the stuff you keep in the fridge and have to stir to mix the oil back into it.

try this stuff on a fresh slice of macintosh apple, which, thankfully will be back in the stores in a month or so.

you'll never touch that shmuckers shit again.

oh yeah, I agree, real peanut butter, BUT, the shmuckers I was talking about was the jelly, not the peanut butter.

schmuckers concord grape or strawberry preserves, with real peanut butter, on honey wheat bread.

Elvis liked his a little different, his would be in a frying pan sauteed with a stick of real butter, sizzling like a grill cheese sandwich, spread the peanut butter with bananna slices between two slices of wonder bread saturated with real butter, cooked up in a frying pan, it will clog your arteries in just a few short years.

only shmucks like shmuckers, so, I guess im a shmuck, go figure.

schmuckers schmuck shmuck shmuckity shmuck shumuck, fuckin shmuck, my dad used to scream at me, sit down ya dumb shmuck, you'll never amount to anything, GOD rest his soul, he worked hard, 7 days a week just to put bread on the table for us kids.

When you really go thru the catalogs of the top 5, Led zepp, pink floyd, the beatles, the who, and the stones, its STAGGERRING to say the least.

Anyone who does this, actually takes the time to really discover all these bands have to offer, will come away a changed person for the rest of their lives.

There is a reason for the universal critical acclaim that these 5 have in common, and the reason is clear, ALl 5 have created music which stands the test of time, meaning, its timeless.

after pages and pages of counterpoint and debate, I am as confident as ever in the 5 bands I chose. NO one has made a convincing arguement against me, and if you think you have, your dellusional.

It all depends on the context. If we're comparing LZ with other bands from the 70s, we're talking rock. If we're talking popular music in general vs composers from the 1700s, then the broader label is appropriate. This shouldn't be that difficult to understand.

After pages and pages, You guys blabberring back and forth like middle schoolers, ONE THING REMAINS CONSTANT!

THE TOP FIVE,

Led Zeppelin
Pink Floyd
The Beatles
The Who
The Rolling Stones

Facts really are FACTS, and we can go another hundred pages or so, and this list will remain constant.

Thats how good I am, I put in the decades of research, so you guys can argue back and forth like fifth graders.

AT THE END OF THE DAY, this list I wrote is written in STONE, you guys know it, I know it, even GOD knows it.

Its a list that I am proud to call my own, and it stands on its own merits, YOU GUYS tried to come up with a counter list to mine, BUT, you failed, and any of you who tries to come up with another list? You will fail too, I can promise you that.

THINK about it? put whatever list you have, stand it up right next to my list, and, you get a BIG FAT dose of penis envy.

MY LIST IS THAT HUGE!! ITS THAT IMPORTANT!! ITS A LIST FOR THE AGES!!

thank you.

Actually, yes there was a tag called progressive rock at that time, and yes, I was there. But to be honest, it was my 7 years older brother who started bringing home albums like Pictures at an Exhibition and Tarkus and making me listen to it - because I was a stupid snot nosed kid who didn't know shit about music at the time.

It was also called symphonic rock. And it was great. ELP was and definitely still is on my top 10 list, no matter what you want to call it. I just don't think they belong in quite the same "hard rock" category as some of those other bands you listed because musically, they're so much different.

while ELP is not as hard as say, Sabbath, they could be considered "hard rock". hard rock is a very broad category. prog rock is definitely a more precise description of their style.

btw, if you think elp wasn't "hard rock" at times, listen to a carl palmer solo. he is definitely on my top 5 rock drummer list. possibly number 2 behind bonham.

Don't know what? Do you even know what you're arguing, or are you lost as usual? Once again, it doesn't matter where I was, as facts remain facts. ALL popular music falls under the general category of pop. That fact is unchanged by time or era. Then you've got your sub genres, which are applicable when discussing artists in a more specific context. Like asking, who's the better rock artist - LZ or The Who? Jeezus, man, why is this so hard for you?

wikipedia is a joke, let me give you an example.

They put elvis and the beatles correctly as the TWO biggest selling acts of all time, BOTH have sold over 1 billion units worldwide.

HOWEVER, they mistakenly put michael jackson 3rd all time with 750 million in sales, THEY COMBINE michael jackson the solo artist, with his work in the group, "the jackson 5". THIS is obviously incorrect, and must be fixed immediately.

You cant combine the two, just to inflate michael jackson all the way up to number three. take away the jackson 5 sales, and michael jackson the solo artist, falls way down the list.

Thats like combining the beatles with paul mccartney and wings, or combining John lennon's solo stuff with the beatles.

SEE how wrong that is?

wikipedia needs to fix this right away.

Why would wikipedia take my word? Who the fuck am I? For all they know, I could be living in my grandmothers basement, and they will trust my judgement? Can anybody fix whatever they want on wikipedia? So, let me get this straight, absolutely anyone with a computer, or, even someone without a computer, can go to a public library, and fix or post any fact they want, and wikipedia will trust that as a FACT.

What kind of shithole site is that?

by the way, they are absolutely correct on the beatles and elvis as the only two acts to sell over 1 Billion units worldwide.

but, other than that fact, how can wikipedia be trusted on anything at all?

I actually read this shit thread started by a shit poster.

What would be a better thread on music is which bands were the most influential to YOU personally and why.

All I know is when I was 8 years old my parents didn't want me hitting that Ludwig snare drum anymore. After annoying everyone with the noise an acoustic guitar was on my bed one day and then I got signed up for guitar lessons. Little did I know I've learned most of my songs that I could play by George Harrison. Not a Beatles fan per se but, that's all I played besides Mason Williams "Classical Gas" and Glen Campbell songs, etc.

Led Zeppelin

The Who
The Rolling Stones

Swagger, in your face, GODS of ROCK! Does NOT matter if you agree or not, its in your face. If you had self-esteem, you would LOVE these bands. When you dont have self-esteem, you embrace bands like public enemy.
