As for it being a judgement call, well, duh, pretty much everyfukkingthing decided on the field is a judgement, but, that judgement is based on a carved in stone guidline.

Arguments can (and have) been made regarding the relative skill & musicianship of several drummers. But I'm guessing there is a total of about one rock & roll drummer who has ever risen to the rank of 4-star General.
