Because the insurgents have improved their organization, they have better weapons, better organization, and have learned what does and does not work.

This September was the third deadliest month for US troops ever, and the highest since January.

Funny how the naysayers compare a WORLD war to this shitty little localized conflict.

And page 16 seems to indicate that the insurgency has more than tripled in 18 months.

How does 3 times the number of insurgent fighters translate to a reduction in their numbers, especially when the level of violence has increased as a giant red flag that would indicate perhaps you are wrong?

You guys are using the new math, right?

Again, with the exception of mickey mouse roadside bombs, all other causes of deaths for US soldiers have decreased. If they're so much better armed than before, where's the big increase in mortar, RPG and automatic weapon deaths? It ain't happening. Maybe they've adopted the Russians technique in Stalingrad. They did two men to a rifle and the insurgents are doing two men with an IED. :lol:
