Truth is, nobody knows what that kid was going thru that led to this event, most likely not even his own family. Thoughts and prayers go out to that family, btw, no matter the circumstances.

See, i had a family member who was seconds of taking his life, he thought about what it would do do his family and friends, and asked for help from family and friends. hey, what a great ideal! There isn't 1000K pages of psyhcos in the phone book, and Tony certainly couldnt afford it
You have no clue about this kid, i have known people who commited suicide(2 in highschool, 1 at work) and in their notes, it was the same thing, they wanted to make parents feel bad, and to upstage everyone and be noticed.
therefore i judge this kid on experiences i have known.
anyone who takes their life is a pussy. there are people who have lost everything they have in life(family,house,job) and they fight on. But hey, God wanted the kid, right

I have zero problem with the kid's fascination with gangs... its in the culture. The romaticization of organized thuggery is known to all who post here. And let's not forget that most here know what being an 18 year old guy entails. Being a moron is part of the territory, which is why I'm always disposed to cutting members of said group copious amounts of slack. That said... the whole "DC snipers are my heroes" deal is profoundly retarded even by the admittedly minimal 18 yr old guy standards.
If there is a question in anyone's mind as to whether or not it is appropriate to lob condemnations at the deceased, as some have in this thread, the answer is, morally speaking, YES. Respect for the living is the same as respect for the dead, as any proper respect is earned. Even within the severe strictures of his intellectual situation, some capacity should have been present for his own measure of respect for the living (surviving family etc of the sniper's victims) and the dead (sniper's victims), yet such an indication of humanity was consciously omitted in favor of a stance produced by the character type known to most as "asshole".
