carr is bitching because the aura of scu-m football is long gone and they can't get a new year's day bowl game on name alone anymore.

Carr stated that he would be in favor of looking into a playoff system. He had been opposed to it citing that it took too much away from academics (wouldn't expect a Spartie to understand). Now he has said with the adding of a 12th game, might as well go ahread and settle the deal on the field. The fact that he made the statement in a year that UM would have no chance of being in the playoff system lends itself to his credibility.
