In fairness, ND last played Army in '98, and Air Force in '02, so it's been awhile for those two.Killian wrote:ND added Army, so that's likely why they couldn't be added to UofM schedule.
Yes, fuck you all. ND is playing all 3 next season. I'm already gearing up for a long offseason of "Where's the Coast Guard and Merchant Marines?"
I like it that Notre Dame is the only school who still consitantly plays the service academies. Gives them some much needed national exposure and Notre Dame is one school who people can't complain about going out of there way to get an easy schedule. There really aren't many easy schedules in South Bend and never by design.Terry in Crapchester wrote:In fairness, ND last played Army in '98, and Air Force in '02, so it's been awhile for those two.Killian wrote:ND added Army, so that's likely why they couldn't be added to UofM schedule.

And being a member of the only class in ND history to witness four straight losses to Air Force, I never consider that game a gimme, anyway.
UConn and Rutgers are home games, so that is why I give us the nod. Kansas has a good D and I have no idea what our offense is going to be like 4 weeks into the season. The first 3 teams we should beat just running basic plays.SunCoastSooner wrote:You think you will beat UConn and Rutgers but not Kansas next year? That's good for us then. Just hope we find a QB in the spring. Our D should be pretty good next season. We only have to fill a couple of spots on DL and potentially a LB spot if Nicholas declares for the draft, which doens't look likely.SunCoastSooner wrote:FTFY.MuchoBulls wrote:...Kansas was a good D ...
It's gone, Charles Gordon declared for the NFL draft. The LB corp was senior heavy. Their D is pretty much in complete rebuild mode.
Since it looks like Nicholas is not going to declare for the NFL draft, we will be bringing back a very good D. We lose a couple of starters off of the DL, but we have depth in that area. Our LB's are the strong point of the D and the secondary is good.Degenerate wrote:I did not see much of USF last year and do not know what they are returning.

Just curious. Maybe it is a bit homerish but this defys logic to me.

Then tell me why did Oklahoma average more total yards a game than Ohio State did over the last half of the season if they are "light years" in front of us?2 tOsu's offense is light years better than the Oklahoma offense
And Oklahoma doesn't? We haven't been outside the top 20 in total defense since Stoops came in. We haven't been outside the top 10 in rushing defense since before Stoops came to Norman.3. Tressel always fields a great defense
I conclude you are an idiot if that is your reasoning because Texass is losing a lot on their OLine as well and we have just as talented prospects coming up and and coming in from JUCO as Texass has.4. The OU offensive line sucked last year and return no body for next year, I conclude they will suck worse next year.
That is an even more valid reason to think that OU has a better shot than Ohio State, especially when taking into consideration the recent history of the series.5. Texas/OU is a rivalry game where anything can happen
The Oline is going to return 2 kids and if you think that texass is that much more talented than OU position to position your smoking crack.6. Texas is returning a hell of a lot of Talent and experience, the only real problem is that none of the experience is at QB. But by the 5th game of the year a lot of their issues should start to be resolved. I'm scared to see what happens in week 2.
Is that enough for you.
Where did you find stats to support this? The only reason I ask is OSU's offense was like 65th through the first half of the season and then caught on fire to finish 32nd.SunCoastSooner wrote:Then tell me why did Oklahoma average more total yards a game than Ohio State did over the last half of the season if they are "light years" in front of us?2 tOsu's offense is light years better than the Oklahoma offense
Straight from the Ohio State and Oklahoma Athletic sites. Oklahoma's caught fire as well at the end of the season. I didn't bag on the tOSU offense in the least, it is very impressive. The difference in total yards was negligible but OU had a very slight lead over the last 6 games of each of our seasons. That is far and away from light years ahead of us.Sky wrote:Where did you find stats to support this? I think it more likely you pay for it in 2010 personally. ;) :DCicero wrote:Before I post this, let me first say that in no way do I agree w/ this schedule. We play UF, Va Tech, Bama and Miami. Wish the AD would have evened the next 2 years out a little better.
Thus, we go undefeated in '06 but get left out b/c of our SOS.

It's okay BtH the more Vito posts the less I believe he has ever watched a football game that doesn't involve texass. Vito should stick to texass smack and that's about it because it is painfully obvious he doesn't have clue one about college football.Believe the Heupel wrote:Er OU's DLine sucked last year?

I never said the OU defense sucked, they were pretty salty. I never meant to imply that the dline didn't have talent, but if I remember correctly injuries tore the dline up this year. So maybe I should have said the dline sucked because of injuries. I don't think your defense will suck next year. Now I do think your secondary sucked and I think it has sucked ever since baby stoops left for Arizona. Deal with it. Will they be better, like I said, they have no where to go but up.SunCoastSooner wrote:It's okay BtH the more Vito posts the less I believe he has ever watched a football game that doesn't involve texass. That mediocre football player at QB wasn't held under 200 passing yards but twice in the last nine games as a freshman with no Oline.
Ted Ginn is definatly the best receiver between the two and Malcom Kelley (OU) is pretty much a lock as the second best. Our receiving cortps are pretty damn comparable next year especially since we have everything returning other than two seniors who saw the field slightly more than I did.
BtH alread dispelled your load of shit about th Dline.
OU's secondary was a bunch of freshman and sophmore they won't ever improve I suppose?.
