Our defense is going to be sick, again. We wont lose to Miami. They cant stop our rush and Wright has no receivers anyway.

It took UF 20 years to be FSU at home and tis no gonna happen in consecutive tries.

Beating Iowa in a bowl game has turned trix into a mad man.

We are better all over the field. We have beaten you the last two. last year we destroyed you. We are better than last year. Go figure.

We only lose Bunkley at DT, who is great. But Clifton Dickson was the sensation of spring practice before he was deemed too dumb to play and with the emergence of Fluellen, there is no way we will skip a beat here.

LB's will hurt a little, but we have the deepest corps in the country here. Thaxton and Timmons have been drooling to start since last spring. Not to mention Kevin Steele is doing great at this position.

Roger Williams is a great safety and played as much as Watkins last year. He will be great and a newbi (Rolle,Leon, someone else) will have to fill the other spot...so I guess that will be a weakness...though I have a hard time thinking Kyler Hall was really that special.

One of our biggest weaknesses will be at DE...no big time pass rusher at this point...ironically you haven't even addressed that.

Over all nothing but talent as far as the eye can see, with one of the best DC's in CFB preparing for next year.

And lastly, if you think we will loose games next year because of our defense, then it really was a waste of my time replying in this thread.
T REX wrote:Thanks for addressing.....I guess.

I do not think your defense will be great after all you lost....both DTs, three LBs, Two safeties.

It's that attitude that is fucking you up right now..."we're FSU so it doesn't matter".

I expect 3-4 losses for you guys again. Miami and UF are two right off the bat. I don't think your defense is good enough.

Really....so how do you explain giving up over 20 points a game for your last nine??????

Gotta hear this one.......spin away spider.

On your last crutch ehh?

9 games over 20 points...what wild stat guy told you that one? I know you didn't notice it yourself. It can be explained by the 8th stringers we had in the fourth quarter of the duke game, or the triple overtime game we just played...am I really spinning here?? Did you watch the VaTech game? Ask beamer what he thinks of our D?

Hmmmmmm....lets see....judging by the ridiculous defesive heavyweight match I watched on january 3rd....something tells me we'll be alright. I think I already mentioned this...did you forget?

Did you watch that game Trix? Please tell me...how bad did our defense look the last time you saw them play? Please o wise one...indulge me with your vast football knowledge regarding the FSU defense.

Go back through this thread and look at the tangents you've taken...keep on searching man...you'll find an angle one of these days...

So that last game guarantees you will have a great defense considering you lose........

http://floridastate.rivals.com/cdepthte ... =FLORIDAST

Bunkley, Wimbley, Simms, McGrew, Hall, Watkins, Cromartie

Sure.....you mention three games out of NINE. What about the other six. It's called consistency and you had none on the defensive side of the ball. It is quite sad that you cannot admit it.

Tangents? Try your spinning or just not wanting to accept it.

As an afterthought, FSU had never given over 20 points in six straight in its entire history and you want to tell me that the defense is fine?????

Sure.

Our defense is fine. Fix that offense or 9-3 seasons will continue to be the norm in hogtown.

Everywhere Urban has been the second year has taken off for the offense. It is widely known that it takes a year to learn it. We'll see. Caldwell is back and he's a freaking stud. You've heard of Leak. Our defense was one of the best in the country.

Next year is going to be a great one for UF.

I just can't wait til next Wednesday to see all the highly rated recruits that ink their name on a LOI to FSU. I wonder why no one has told them how bad the Defense is going to be and how FSU is in havoc and the team in disaray with defections all over the place and the horrid drug abuse and the....

I love it.

Bowden's Dismissals Best For Team
Skip directly to the full story.
By DOUG CARLSON

Published: Jan 25, 2006

TALLAHASSEE - It's possible Florida State coach Bobby Bowden had no choice but to dismiss two young, talented and troubled offensive starters Friday. Once universities establish policy regarding such issues as athlete behavior, drug testing and class attendance, not following the policy equals an NCAA rules violation.

Policy, not Bowden's discretion, might have dictated that former Parade All-American receiver Fred Rouse and sophomore offensive guard Cornelius Lewis had run out of chances. Since Bowden and the school can't comment on the exact nature of the violations due to privacy laws, few outside the athletic department will know what was behind the players' departure.

At this point, the reason shouldn't matter.

The fact is, they're gone. And the Seminoles can move forward, just as Rouse and Lewis will have opportunities to grow up and go on with their lives elsewhere.

As talented as those players are, Bowden might just be better off cutting ties instead of trying to nurture young men who weren't ready to appreciate the opportunity they had been given. For all the third and fourth chances Bowden has extended troubled athletes during the years, and for all the damage it has done to his reputation, it may just be time for him to realize the unseen damage often inflicted on the good guys.

If 80 players are in it for each other and are willing to follow the rules, but a handful are kept on board for anything short of shooting the president, division is a natural consequence. By all accounts, this is a team that had come together after a horrid, and winless, November.

Maybe Rouse and Lewis could have helped the Seminoles. Then again, maybe they would have hurt them even more.

Nobody will know the answer to that riddle. Only this time, there's no reason for Bowden to look back and wonder, or to feel guilty about two that didn't work out.

At 76, his remaining years in coaching are limited. It's time he stopped worrying about one or two who won't listen, and think about his own future. For a change. And for the good of the team.

FSU told him on Mon that they were no longer interested. Tired of playing games w/ him. The quicker he becomes a Gate, the quicker I can start hating him.

That's funny.......FSU told him no way??????

Sure....if you believe that then your defense was nails this past year.

Also, I love how the article infers that the only way Rouse was kicked off was because of POLICY not Bowden acting on his own. I love it.

Ummmmm, dickhead, our coaches told him to make up his mind on Monday. He said he couldnt and they said, "we are going in another directions." We have two safeties committed and we have 4 returning corners. We also will sign two more DBs besides Robinson. Look up at warchant, if you dont believe me.

Who gives a shit about Fred fucking Rouse. He was a loud mouthed little bitch who would cause more trouble than good.

Pretty much everyone thought Patrick Robinson was going to UF.

T REX has called his shot on a few things in this thread. We'll keep it around.
