It won't because we went after them overseas and fucked them up badly.
Yes. The reduction in attacks in iraq bears THAT out.

Are you forgetting the significant Euro population of muslims, or the indonesians?

Not to mention the rest of the Arab world that hates the west. Pakistan nearly shut down in protest to the Bush visit.

I'm not seeing where they've been hurt all that badly. All it takes is one nuclear weapon, anyway.

Say, aren't those the towell heads we helped after the tsunami wiped out a small percentage of them?

What about them? Are you saying they are a threat to the US? Well, I gues they could threaten to quit making cheap goods for Wal-Mart to sell, and that would be terrible bad.

Pakistani's? Say, aren't those the towell heads we helped just recently after muslides sent some villages to a pre-mature meeting with Allah?

You mean they hate us too after helping them? Oh, that's right. They hate us over some Danish cartoons.

Nearly "shut down" over Bush's visit you say? What was allegedly shut down? I've not seen many items in Wal-Mart that said "Made in Pakistan".

That's Europe's problem. I could see a "megastrike" in Europe, but not in America.
Oh? And the middle east is ours? I seriously think you underestimate them.
I'm not seeing where they've been hurt all that badly.
They haven't attacked us because they're fighting for their lives in Iraq and Afghanistan and nearly all of the top operators are dead or in custody.[/quote]

Give it time. We haven't made that much of a dent. We've increased both recruiting and their hatred for us. Just wait and see. Our borders and ports are open and waiting. Hell the AZ governor had to send more NG toops to the mex border to help control the illegal crossings because the gov't hasn't done shit to stop it.

It won't take much to smuggle a have a dozen brown skin arabs across that border. and what they have to carry fits in a suitcase. That should be our next battle front.

Recruiting and hatred aren't money, intelligence, logistics, ability, and means.

Money? Dude they have OIL money
Intelligence? forget 9-11? they planned that for years.
Logistics? See above.
Ability? See 9-11.
Means? That is the only grey area, but we are certainly giving them the opportunity by not securing our borders and ports better.

Hatred is their fuel for the recruiting fire.

The fact that you actually believe they are at the same operational abilities as before 9-11 is at best .

That's about the only thing I agree with you on here.

Hatred is their fuel for the recruiting fire.

Which is in all actuality a downside for them. Before 9-11 they could expect that a good portion of their recruits were some of the few well educated and intelligent middle eastern Muslims. Now they have a bunch of illiterate morons running around the desert scrambling from the US Military.

Read the artcle again:
cited a "security source" in China

The agency also cited a "Western military source"

"Indications are"

"Japan's Defense Ministry said it couldn't confirm the report"

"officials in South Korea who monitor the North also said they didn't have any information on the reported launches."
All sources unconfirmed and un-named.
"At least one of the missiles landed in the sea about 100 kilometers (62 miles)"

So the DPRK conducted a short range missle test within the confines of it's international boundries. So fucking what.
North Korea reportedly fired two surface-to-air missiles near its border with China, a poignant reminder of the communist regime's ability to foment instability in the region amid the ongoing standoff over its nuclear weapons program.
DPRK has several rocket testing ranges along the Chinese border. Thus it is likely that the rockets would be launched "near it's border with China". The article contradicts itself again by claiming that no one knows if they even have nuclear weapons. And what SAMS have to due with nukes is beyond me.
the short-range missiles were test-fired in an eastern direction from the North's eastern coast, toward the Sea of Japan.
Why wouldn't they fire in an easterly direction? That's where the ocean is.
n Washington on Tuesday, the commander of the U.S. military in South Korea, Army Gen. B.B. Bell, said reports indicated the North was "preparing to field a new intermediate-range ballistic missile which could easily reach United States facilities in Okinawa, Guam and possibly Alaska," according to prepared comments.
Yet in the very next paragraph, this point is completely contradicted:
However, Bell noted there had been "very little activity" by the North Koreans in recent years on long-range ballistic missiles. Instead, he said officials have seen increasing work on short-range missiles that could be used on the Korean Peninsula.
Mister Bushice wrote:NK has a history of that shit. They launched missiles over Japan back in 98. Last year they shot some into the SoJ.
The safest area to test fire missiles would be over the East Sea ("Sea of Japan"). Japan essentially blocks Korea from the Pacific ocean. How do you conduct a missile test without flying it over Japan? Fly it into China? As Zo Zun Il from KFA expressed it,

"There is no trajectory at which the DPRK could fire a LONG RANGE missile from the northeastern missile bases without either violating another nation's airspace or physically attacking another country.

Keep mind mind that the ROK is between the DPRK and the Pacific to the south. I've traced sample trajectories from Northeastern DPRK and expanded them into the surrounding region. There is literally nowhere they could perform a long range missile test without infringing upon someone. The only possible solution would be to launch from the southern section of the country, which would open a small strip of ocean less than 100 miles wide to the south. If something were to go wrong, and the missile missed its target (remember, this is a test), it would likely hit the east coast of China. Launching over Japan is obviously the safest and least provocative option"

This is NOT news, it's propaganda passing as news. It's like that myserious website where Al-Queda claims responsibility for everything, but no one knows the web-address.

SCS, I respect your intelligence, but I disagree.

I think that there are so many outlets, inlets, channels etc. for money that we do not know about, except that they all come from oil. The world depends on their oil. Until it does not, we are shackled.

I would buy your argument of funding problems if there was a cessation of bombing, but there is not.
Intelligence? forget 9-11? they planned that for years.

What about OBL? The top dude, still alive. My company would fold without me. I can replace anyone in my company because I can train them. If someone replaces me, they are a different company.

Kill the head.

But that hasn't been done.
The fact that you actually believe they are at the same operational abilities as before 9-11 is at best .
I look to the mess in Iraq, and I have no lol to give you.

But illiterate morons only need commands. We cannot cease vigilance on our borders, and we cannot control every country in the world. we secure our country, we secure ourselves. We attack other countries, we have more turf to defend.

That is the way I see it.

Thanks for not reverting to the " You are a dumbfuck" mvscal response. We need more of that here.
