Don't be so sure.

You're only sure about

Dins, we were together the entire time there so yeah, I'm sure.
We tried, we backed off, we blew it.
I guess "onion domes" is all it is, so hell.

I'd be lying if I said this thread was the confirmation to dinsdale's assertion of van's dorkiness, because I watched "Live From Astoria" over the weekend.

Yes!!!!
:D :D :D
What on earth possesed you to watch a Vai concert DVD??
Excusing some of the stupid shit during the "metal" portion of the show (the Frankenstein outfit, the stupid eyewear, the illuminated frets and the laser equipped finger tips) what did you think of "For The Love Of God", "The Animal" and "Blue Powder"?
His version of Hendrix's "Fire" was pretty damn cool and even his "Little Wing" was interesting.
Billy Sheehan is just a monster.

I was just bullshitting.
I'll pick it up though. There's a Goodwill on my trek back home that has a pretty deece used cd/dvd section.

Yep, I believed you.
You should check it out though. Problem is, nope, you'll never find it at WalMart or Goodwill or wherever. Far too obscure for that.
Better yet, rather than the
Live In Astoria DVD, just get a copy of the
Alive In An Ultra World cd and make sure to digest the liner notes before you listen to the whole thing.
Couldn't be less Big Hair 80's Metal Glam...

an architect here
they are called "Onion domes" and are most often found in eastern orthadox architecture beginning in the byzantine era
as for beautiful cities
San francisco may be one of the most beautiful in America but it is far behind St Petersburg (Leningrad), Prague, Hong Kong, Sydney, Paris
