I think it can be made with both (Oden and Weis), especially considering the fact T REX called every OSU fan out by saying they were looking through homer glasses.

While the Weis comparison may be closer, the Oden one isn't that far off.

homer is as homer does and the king homer is the caller outer himself...

How ironic would it be if Billah left for a pro gig? you know for more money or a chance to coach at the next level...perhaps the NBA will expand to Gainsville since it is the center of the sports universe?

Someone get Stern on the line...

BUWHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!

You are.....oh..its you. Unfortunately, this has been discussed and dissected. Not going to happen.

Dude just built a great program at UF. Two championship games in six years. What have they done at UK? They certainly do not have more money to pony up.

I guess I would have to hear your arguement before chopping into little pieces. Go ahead.

Earth to Brent. Kentucky is a hell of a lot more prestigious than UF. What have they done at UK?? Laughable.

Great point that I would've made had I read this thread yesterday.

Trix, Roy Williams left Kansas to go to UNC. Why would he do that since Kansas is one of the most well respected hoops programs in history (far more than Florida) and they had several Final Four appearances in his tenure (including going to the championship game his last season)? The answer is that UNC is arguably the most respected and historic program in college hoops history. I say arguably because Kentucky is the only other school with a legit claim to that crown. If Donovan is offered the UK job, he takes it. UNC and UK are 1 & 1a in the coaching echelon.

buckeye_in_sc wrote:Killian/Terry - agreed but my point was that Trix lambasted OSU fans for thinking Oden was going to stay at OSU for more than 1 year...take the money out of the equation...but then says Donovan isn't going anywhere...but yet Donovan could change his mind just like OSU fan maintained Oden could if he so desired...but again FLA is the center of everything and no one would leave...oh except for SOS...

but I do agree the point is more to what you both have maintained he has said about Weis...
I don't think Weis would leave. Why would he?

Take the money out of the equation? WTF!!!!!

You're a fucking tard. There's no way this is even comparable.

coach/player - money/NOmoney

memo to all: Donovan is NOT going anywhere. Sorry, but UNC can pony up more $$$$$ than Kansas.....and well....its fucking kansas.

UF vs Tucky????????

Not sure if you are up on current events but UF is CURRENTLY THE program in the SEC. Period. Two finals in six years, nine straight NCAAS, FOUR straight wins over tucky. Does Kentucky have more tradition? Of course. Look what that got ucla.

UF can and will pay more money than kentucky could ever come up with.

Donovan joined elite company as a player on a final four team as well as the coach of a national champion. THREE PEOPLE EVER!!!!

Other two.........DEAN SMITH and BOBBY KNIGHT

Read above rabbit.......what has tucky does RECENTLY?????

UF has MORE MONEY, BETTER FACILITIES, BETTER PLAYERS.

You tell me.

This is stupid. I'll bet anyone $1000 right now that Donovan WILL NOT leave for Tucky if teh job opens up. Come one, come all.

Roy didn't win a national championship.

That would be like Stoops coming back to UF. Not gonna happen.

Not sure if you noticed but Pitino/Billy ball doesn't work in the NBA. Did you know that? No.

Also, any SOS reference is hilairous. Dude actually coached PRO ball for years prior to Duke and UF at the BANDITS!!!!!!!!!!!!

Rumor was that he always wanted to be in the pros.

I guess one last comment.......

If Urban Meyer can choose Florida over ND which we will all agree has MUCH more tradition than UF then Billy can certainly stay at a school he's been at for a decade while winning a national title over going to UK.

Agree???????

now I know you are a fucking tard...SOS coaching pro ball the BANDITS...in the USFL...YOU ARE A FUCKING IDIOT...

Pitino ball doesn't work in the NBA ok fine...but who's to say that Donovan wouldn't adapt? Again you are saying Billy is going nowhere...but he could change his mind right? Isn't that what you blasted OSU fan about on Oden???

So now we can't make SOS references? On one hand SOS is your yardstick in terms of when the program got turned back around and on the other hand we can't use SOS references to poke holes in your theory...? FUCKING IDIOT...

Again no one is denying FLA is a good program in fact bordering on great based on the last 10 years...but again no one can have an opinion on anything because it is

A) Not FLA related
B) FLA is the center of the universe
C) No one leaves FLA...

i mean it is nice to be in love with your team and what not but you take homerism to a whole new level...

and on your last comment didn't Urban choose FLA moreso because ND lowballed him on salary? I mean compare the first years and Weis and Urban had great years but I think had ND come to the table with more money Urban would have gone there (THAT IS MY OPINION)

Meyer had accepted the job before ND made even an informal offer.

And T REX, don't back pedal now. You know you said Weis would leave.

Don't back pedal? I guess go look it up because I honestly do NOT remember saying he would leave. Not saying I didn't but the guy looks like he's staying. He has done a great job......why would he go. In terms of the situation, Donovan has been here a long time and won a national championship. I just think that makes a difference. He is also a demi-god on campus. I am sure Weis is as well.

sc: Sorry dude....but I am done with you. We are national champs and you can't bring me down. Have a good one!
