That's where you're definitely wrong. DeLay resigning now actually hurts the Democratic Party. Better for the Democrats if he had stayed in the race with criminal and ethical charges hanging over his head, that way every Democratic candidate across the country could have run against him.
but you are quite delusional if you think it will result in criminal liability.
I wish I knew everything in advance, like you. Or at least, what you think you know.
We'll see where the criminal charges go.

Over this one issue?
Do you think we should build a giant wall between Mexico and USA? Do you think we should round up all the illegals and put them in jail?
What should we do to make sure blacks safely keep their crap jobs away from illegals?

Yea, like Delay would have resigned if he thought he could beat the rap. Do you ever tire of deluding yourself?
He was a political liability with a safe seat in an election year so he walked the plank.
The prosecution was a success in that it forced his resignation which was the sole intent behind it in the first place, but you are quite delusional if you think it will result in criminal liability.

1. prohibit on-the-job theft
2. ban mariachi music in the workplace.
No beaner will come anywhere near a job like that

First, the source that drew you to that conclusion was freeper. Take it FWIW.
Second, last I checked, the Democrats have been out of power in
both houses of Congress
and the White House for several years now. What, in all honesty, do you expect the Democrats to do?
It's not like the Republicans currently in power have ever shown even the slightest inkling to work with Democrats to get things done, other than under a "my way or the highway" type scenario.

No, but we should send them back to whatever shithole they came from.
zee cirle ov life... immigrants come een und zee immigrants get keecked out only to come een again.
C'mon, party of solutions and answers. What's the answer to do more than just put a band-aid on the problem?

An outright ban on polyester doubleknit pants and straw cowboy hats would solve half the illegal immigration problem all by itself, btw

There are so many industries that supposedly rely on this cheap source of labor. What will they do? Move their operations to Mexico?

If there was ever a time for political reform in this country, now is that time.
The special-interest pandering is fucking disgusting. Clinton sold us up one river, while Bush is selling us down another.
All this so a few aristocrats caqn get a few more bucks.
Fucking disgusting.
And if it weren't for you people being such complete fucking retards at the voting booths, this could be averted.
"But Bush SAID he was down for some immigration reform!"
How's that working out for you, tards? Doesn't really matter now, does it? You stupid, stupid fuckers will just make excuses for this criminal activity, since for some very odd reason, demanding accountability from elected officials is eithwer "unAmerican" or some "liberal" policy (don't know if people realize how fucking stupid they sound when they say that stupid shit).
They promised/advertised one thing. They delivered the opposite. This is also known as "fraud," but for some reason, you peole seem OK with it.
What's the next successful political platform going to be?
"FREE BROOKLYN BRIDGES FOR EVERYONE!!!!!!"
Why not -- you tards would slurp it up.

As to the issue of DeLay being prosecuted, I believe many Amercans from both sides of the aisle have had their fill of the,'I didn't do it, I didn't do it...okay I did it, but it's not technically illegal," guys. The folks want to see someone swing for this, someone other than Abramoff. They want to know that the slimeballs are getting the message, and that beating up on Michael Scanlon and Tony Rudy isn't enough. One of the problems with having a large pile of slimeballs is, when there's a vacancy at the top, there is always someone willing to move up, fill the void and be a bigger slimeball than the last.
As I understand the immigration issue, if everything passes, it allows those illigals currently here to bring their families across. Twelve million(Pew Hispanic Center Research Institute estimate) becomes thirty million. Haven't Americans been accomodating enough?
'Ask no question' social programs to support Jose and Hose B are strained to the burst point now..what happens when their families arrive?
Unemployment=Unrest=Crime.
Middle America will be taxed into oblivion if forced to support them, and refusal to pay taxes will become a commonplace form of protestation.
Along with the arrival of family members, we can expect the criminal element to be on the train as well. Understaffed police in high-crime cities will begin using Military Reservists and National Guardsmen, look for Martial Law enforcement. It's not that much of a reach.
The borders should have been secured twenty-five years ago. But we cannot change the past. We can however, change how we deal with the effects of the past. Begin rotation of Temporary Duty Reservists and Guardsmen immediately to assist the Border Patrol. Even if there are pilotless Predator-type aircraft watching the borders, human resources aren't always close enough to react. Seal the border.

Tom DeLay will look swell in his orange jump suit. And he will be convicted--or what, you think the aide rolling over a couple days ago isn't the pin being pulled from the grenade? They've got his fat sick ass dead to right, and no toxic Christer urge or prayer will keep him from a jail cell.
The bigger issue, of course, gets back to DeLay's original scam (this isn't about free $700 hotel rooms)--illegally gerrymandering the voting districts of Texas. And this tremendous issue will presently come before the Supreme Court, where the Cheney/Chimp appointments are being counted on to preserve the neocon dream, in effect. That is, if they rule that the gerrymandering was in fact illegal, Delay is mega fucked--and the RE-redistricting will shift, etc.
Meanwhile, savor the living breath of justice--still--somehow pulsing in our world, demanding that such a vile evangelical cultist run amok should still be brought to heel.

This prosecutor pulled the same shit on Kay Bailey Hutchison back in the 90s. Not so surprisingly, he dropped the charges before trial.
