I think I also saw him on an episode of "The war at Home", the Michael Rappaport show. It was a spelling Bee and Jess was a contestant if I'm not mistaken.

you want to play second banana in a mega blockbuster so that you'll have the cachet to capitalize while the iron is hot to do your own thing; and you're frantic about your weight to the point of questioning the use of diet pills. again. which is something one does in desperation.

you don't need desperation tactics, jess. you just have to be you.

you also don't have to be second banana in a mega blockbuster to have the power to do your own thing. or maybe you do... i'm looking at a book in my little bookshelf that's a little painful to read because of how the author was sucked into the superficiality and air kissing of LA and Hollywood... he was already somebody, it wasn't enough for him, though. he had to have more.

he wasn't going to get that more, though. he just didn't realize it, yet.

did the makers of napoleon dynamite, or even matt parker and trey stone, or mike hill, or charles s. dutton -- who was in freaking JAIL on armed robbery charges -- have to have a super mega blockbuster hit before other people took notice of them?

did the two kids who found success with 'blair witch project' capitalize on their overnight success, or waste it, or prove that they weren't as genius as they thought they were, or (perhaps moreso) just found out that it's harder than it looks after finding success in Hollywood terms?

I just want to be as happy as I am with my life right now 30 yrs or so down the road. If money is pouring out of my pockets or not.
