RACK the Beaverton Ducks.
They have you guys(and many others on many other forums, I'm sure) talking about their unis in June.
Man, I remember the "Old Days," when the Oregon-uni discussions were about how ugly the cut/style of the new unis was so bad...now, almost every football team in the country wears it.
By December, everyone here will be quite familiar with Dennis Dixon.
But really, here's something to ponder...maybe CFB has become like the BBS boards where people discuss it -- certain people know that they can do certain little things, and make the entire community melt.

Dins,
I don't think laughing at obviously horrible looking uniforms is melting. At least Oregon usually fields a pretty deece team. I couldn't imagine the laughing stock they'd be if they wore this shit and sucked on top of it.

hey Indy: i saw some talk of ATM possibly wearing a white helmet with the maroon logo over at texags a while a go (or maybe for one game)......is this just bunk or is there talk of some changes to the Ag uni? there seems to be persistant talk of uni changes (or switching to adidas) for 2007?

I have heard nothing of A&M uni changes.

to a bunch of old crotchity college football fans those unis are uglier than shit but Nike isnt as interested in our opinion. What Nike is doing is using Oregon to show all the minor college, high schools and club (JAAF and PW) the new and inovative futuristic designs that they will have available. at 30+ we may think these things are gay looking, but at 30+ we feel the same way about Emo kids and HS's are full of those. Oregon will continue to be Uncle Phils guinea pigs and model the latest styles on national TV so lower level teams and players can order them.

Nothing implores the pride and tradition of a program like 4 different uni's and 3 different helmets. Fucking disgrace.

I, honestly, like these uniforms. And I didn't like the last unis at all.
And yeah, they aren't really aimed at those of us over 30, but I do believe that recruits and players like them as well. I know the players do, as actually they had a hand in designing them (Yes, I know that opens up a whole new line of jokes).
And yeah, they aren't traditional in the least. But the thing is, traditionally, we've pretty much sucked, so why would we worry about keeping with tradition like the Penn States, Notre Dames and USCs want things?
We kind of have our own tradition of changing our uniforms every couple years, to uniforms that seem to get underneath everyone else's skin. At least that's a tradition we've been doing for the last 10 years. And, we've been a pretty good team over that time to. So, it's a tradition that I don't expect to change real soon.

It isn't a ten or a seventy, you douches. It's a tenseventy. Yep, a combination of a 10 and 70. You see, the U&L is ahead of the modern world by about 20 years in pretty much everything including the numerical system.

Sweet, I wasn't aware Oregon had a Rollerball team.
I hope the kids in Phil's sweatshops got an extra ration of rice to put that crap together.

Howie's wife stealing clothes from Harold's was another classic Schnellenbergerism.
my pops saw him stumble into a 7-11 and buy a 16 oz bud tallboy and stumble back into his cadillac. and drive off.

A buddy of mine bought Bob Devaney a lap-dance at the Royal Grove. The Lincoln-PD used to give Bob rides home from the bar and he was know to do the Bob Devaney Prediction Show after having a couple.
Coaches have never been choir-boys, the old-school just didn't have to live under such a microscope.

ahhhh
Danimal is back
by the way....I think they uniforms are ok
Coach Belotti designed the numbers...so the story goes. They are wider at the top then at the bottom to help those svelte interior linemen look their best on gameday...
I think the three helmets are a mistake... I have always thought the mallard green ones were awesome and added a touch of continuity to the endless parade of new uniform combinations we see every week.

Well...after reading that rationale...never mind, right?
