But anyway. Chappelle's Show remains the funniest thing American TV has produced since Sgt Bilko, as long as he stops banging on about himself.

Nope. All in the eye of the beholder, obviously, but the laughs-per-hour ratio of Family Guy exceeds that of Chapelle amongst viewers with an IQ higher than ferns.

I can see how all the stereotypes and beat-to-death racial jokes of Chapelle's Show is considered cutting edge stuff in the GB.

"Did you hear what that black man said? HA! White people are just like that!"

Fixed that for me. What was I thinking?

And if I wanted to laugh at stereotypes and beat-to-death racial jokes, I'd come on here.

Funny as hell, but Family Guy isnt as creative as the Simpsons.

What year of the Simpsons? Nothing they've done in the last two years, that's fo sho.

I'm a huge Simpson's fan, but watching that show now is painful. It's like having that friend who's dog is so fucking old a decrepit that it can't shit or go blind, yet they won't put the slug in old yeller.

The "cleverness" of the Simpsons never quite trumped the pure hilarity of Family Guy.

I'd agree but its been on for what 16 years??? Family Guy, as funny as it is, couldnt touch The Simpsons in its prime.

And Robot Chicken wasn't even thrown in the frey.

Although, I don't know if you can consider stop motion animation as a cartoon.

Oh my...

Well, let me settle it. Michelle Troll is the best looking man in that thread.

Michelle Troll has nothing on me...well, nothing but 5,000 pushups, 10,000 roid injections, and a couple of bags of silicon.

How old were you when you started watching Simpsons?

U&L guy will never crack the Simpsons for hanging around too long(the bossman of which recently said that the day the last episode is in the can, he can "move back home -- I've just been on a temporary work assignment in california for about 20 years" Rack him).

Can't speak for Magoo, but my Wife and I watched the Simpsons first episode the night she went into labor, so some of us old fuckers were "adults".

I hear ya Dins... It's just getting painful. The time has come. Homer's got the leather jacket and the skis on and has been yelling "Hit it" for months.

I was barely a teenager when I started watching Simpsons. I lost my affinity for it at about 22. Guess I just didn't think anything more could be done. Started watching South Park around that time and that lasted a good 2 years for me at most.

I know MGO is a younger guy so that's why I was cracking on him.

I got the crack, it's just all relative. In fact, I think Luther was still in his 60's when the Simpsons started.

The show appeals to some kids simply because it is a cartoon.

However, the show is scripted for adults.

The second episode is weird.

They screen the Pixie sketch that turned Chappelle against the direction he was heading (and pretty much made him walk off the show), and then they have a Sally-Jessie debate amongst the audience about stereotypes, and whether they should screen it.

I've already seen it, because I'm cool and better than you cunts.
