He said that, but he also said:
"To my knowledge, I have not seen any strong, hard evidence that links the two,"
And that was where he cast doubt on his own Administration's party line.

Back to the title of this thread, it never ceases to amaze me, in light of the extent to which these people try to claim the moral high ground, how pottymouthed this Administration truly is.

Let's not forget that the quote in mvscal's sig was actually spoken on the floor of the United States Senate. Now, I'll admit to not exactly being a virgin in that regard, either. But I do know that there's a time and place for everything, and I think I have enough presence of mind to know that the floor of the United States Senate, especially with the cameras of every major news outlet in the world rolling, is neither the time nor the place to show off the vocabulary I acquired in high school locker rooms and the Navy.

But I guess class is one of the few things money can't buy. This Administration is proof of that.

So saying "shit" during lunch between two friends is now a classless act? Gimme a break.

Had Dubya gotten up in front of the press and done so while mic'ed, you might have some ground to stand on. But this newest incident, like Cheney's, was overheard and/or picked up by a microphone that wasn't thought to be on. Basically, we're talking minor faux pas at worst, since it isn't like he referred to any group or country with the s-bomb, but rather was using it to describe a series of actions.

C'mon, Terry! The guy said "shit". Lighten the fuck up already.

No, I was referring to Cheney's comment, which was made to Sen. Patrick Leahy.

Absolutely. Oval, round, or canoe-shaped. It’s all good.
