I guess that means I can't post here either. I only come around during the season. I wouldn't want Tard Wagon getting his panties all in a bunch. The big bad defender of the football forum. Heaven forbid people talk about Football in the football forum.

On another note:

Did anyone see where they were showing the diagram of Ben's appendectomy during the game? I was sitting at a really crowded sports bar when this happened and I swear EVERYONE turned and looked at each other with a "WTF?!?!?!" look on their faces. I started laughing hysterically. The guy at the table next to me was like, "Why are they SHOWING this?!?!?" and I just shrugged my shoulders and laughed. I was by myself at the time (my friend left to pick up her boy toy) so that kept me entertained. It was classic.

Guess ya had to be there. :?

Are you a Casual Fan?

Then you must like Kornheiser.

True, but I think they ought to give War Wagon a shot.

He's consistently demonstrated an encyclopedic knowledge of everything NFL and KC nutsack, at least on this board. I'm just not sure how he would be on camera.

His daughter is off to college so that freed up some time from his usual stalking of the softball team.

Another classic mvscal one liner. Short and without point.

Unfortunately he does not appeal to the casual fan...he is a casual fan. They might as well put m2 in the booth.
Fixed.

Actually, either one of us probably shouldn't be that mean to either JTR or m2.

Oh, he had a point alright and made that point quite well. The point is that he doesn't really know a damn thing about the NFL, and he wanted to make that point painfully clear.

Enough with pounding that point home, mv. We get it, already.

Shine? Do you normally post here?

Wags, welcome to the board.

Try to keep the riffraff out, will ya?

Ever since Jimmy the Greek kicked his ass in Zaire, Brent Musburger has never been the same.

mvscal wrote:Both offenses played like shit in that game and it had nothing to do with defense. Both teams had inaccurate throws, fumbled snaps and missed blocks. The opportunities were there. The Squealers failed to take advantage of a depleted Faguar D line. Reggie Hayward went on IR, Stroud questionable with a bad ankle, Spicer questionable with a groin injury. The Squealers should have been able to run easily. If for no other reason than to protect their DB against the significantly taller Faguar receivers.

The Squealers failed to do that and they lost the game. There was no fancy defense on either side. They just took turns punching each other in the face to see who would be left standing in the 4th.
That pretty much sums it up. The Steelers O line simply was not holding their blocks long enough to allow Parker to make any kind of positive yardage. They either need to start holding their blocks or resign themselves to getting beat by every team on their schedule with a big physical front 4.

We'll add mv to the list of dumbfucks who know nothing about football.
This blast could have been proper , had you called your shot before the game started .

I don't think it's proper to smack someone because of a prediction that's off the mark. The bestest NFL smack is laid upon the loopy domes of those who burst upon the scene with utter shit for football knowledge.

I was fairly close to the mark in calling my shot. Well, it's good to be in the right zip code once in a fukkin while. But the fact is, most of us are wrong most of the time, technically speaking (calling the exact score, what a particular player will accomplish, etc.). Then again, most of us are damn well prepared in this arena when not stifled by myopia.

In any case, there's a good method to employ when going for some pre game banter. Focus on questions. For me, the defenses of the teams playing monday nite were the least questionable entities involved. Both D's are badass imo.
The offenses? Without bias the Jag's O seemed to have the fewer number of ???'s hanging around it. Thus the prediction.

For mvs the questions were heavier around the Jags D, with fewer than I agree with about the Steeler O. His method is valid as he demonstrated in a subsequent post.

There could have been an accurate prediction on this thread about WAGs , like :

" WAGs is gonna chime in here like a bitch , and have no take on the game , but have a shit take on someone else's opinion " ...

But that is a Marcus Allen like given that that take would happen , so no real suspense there .

I'm sure all of us have thought that certain teams would roll on the opposition , and proven otherwise , or predict that thier team would roll over the other teams in thier division .

Like WAGs does .

Yep, typical quackerbacker post. Just slimes his way in to the end of a thread and blurts some ankle bite gold.

ooohhh wha? that's not q~backer, that's orc. Hmmm. What's the lesson here folks? I think its something to do with "avoid the spinning duck av"... since it seems to make one post like the clone of a dork.
