The Bolts
have a dominant running game and a very good defense, dumbfuck.
Maybe you might want to check out the box score from last year's Steelers-Chargers game?

Why? Is that supposed to mean something?
I see you forgot about LT's 62 rushing yards.

The difference between the niners and the stillers, besides their current W-L records (oh wait, they're the same) is that one of those teams is the defending SB champion and is supposed to be a "good" team, and the other finished last season at 4-12 and basically sucks.
I'll leave it to you to figure out which team is which, but I will say this. When Steeler fan pounds his chest and shouts to the world "WELL, WE'RE BETTER THAN THE NINERS!!!" you know he's really reaching for something positive to say about his grossly underacheiving team.

Do you normally post here?
I'm not sure we can register your takes as valid until we have a breakdown of your posting frequency in this forum.
TIA.

I'm trying to bring my post count up, but I don't want to look like I'm bandwaggoning the niners.

True. Last year you had a better QB.

Say what you say Mikey. But the Steelers have two weeks to savor this loss. And all that frustration is going to be taken out on Philip Leaf.
That is, if the Ravens leave anything left after this Sunday. Who knows? Maybe the Steelers will be feasting on Billy Volek.

I agree, Rivers has done nothing to warrant a comparrison to Cryin' Ryan.

Where does this stupid shit come from?
It's called wishful thinking.
Care to compare QB ratings and # of sacks?

Put Roethlisberger up against the Raiders and Titans and we can do a real comparison. Your stats are absolute bullshit and will be shown as such in two weeks or less. No way Rivers carries that QB rating, or anything even remotely close to it, for the season.

Yeah, you're right actually.
Put him up against the Raiders and Titans and he might even double his QB rating.
To 68.6.

The last time the Steelers played the Titans, Ben posted a perfect QB rating. Let me know when Rivers does that. I guaranfuckingtee that it won't be in the next two weeks.

Nobody gives a flying fuck what you did last year. This year...you suck.
That's because when you compare a team on the way up to a team on the way down,
the farther back you go the better the team circling the drain will look.
I think there's a theorem in mathematics that goes something like that.

Steelers really seem to be missing Randal El and his ability to throw the option pass b/c Big Ben sure has hell can't throw for shit right now.

Gotta love Charger fan clinging against all hope that their first year starter won't panic once faced with a real NFL defense. Your bluster betrays your fear.

I have absolutely no fear whatsoever of Ben Maddox's ineptitude. Given his generosity with the football lately, I'd have to say he's going to get fucked in the ass once again when
he faces another real NFL defense.
Rivers will remain calm, cool and collected regardless of circumstances.
And you base this on exactly what? Two games of starting experience?

Wow...here's some valuable info, jim...no QB is perfect. Not every game goes down perfectly.
El passed the ball in regular season games...maybe 5-10 times? Yes, one of them was a super bowl TD...but at no time was El's passing an integral part of the gameplan.
Ben made some mistakes, but he'll be fine. The Steelers will, also. In fact, I'm really not comfortable unless they have lost 4-5 games during a season - they need to keep the chips balanced on their shoulders.

To be exact, Randle El threw 3 passes during the regular season last year.

Hence the sarcasm. I guess I should have useed [sarcasm[/sarcasm] with that post. PSU you should know that the AFC is extremely competitve this year and 9-7 probably won't get you into the playoffs this year and these past 3 weeks the Steelers have looked rather ordinary. It seems like the Steelers should have given Batch at least 1 more start while Ben got his timing down.

Ben's biggest problem now is that every oncoming rusher looks like a Chrysler New Yorker.

I thought this thread was supposed to be about the 9er's being back.
I know mvs doesn't wanna talk about last year, but about this time a year ago not many (if any) people were talking football with 'super bowl' and 'steelers' in the same sentence. That whole thing kinda came outta nowhere. The Colts were the appointed ones and carried themselves in that manner for weeks on end. Got kinda sick of hearing about them actually. This year there doesn't seem to be the media darling standout to get bored of. So overall it's better this campaign ('Skins notwithstanding).
So that's my take on 'this year' vs. 'last year'.
