Huh? Stanton has had nothing to do with this MSU breakdown on D.

Yeah but Stanton has everything to do with the last two interceptions. Wow....so it starts early for MSU this year.

This wasn't an MSU loss, this was a Notre Dame win. The greatest win in the history of football, a classic for the ages. Tune in next week to see what happens.

Exactly. But watch them move up like 5 spots in the polls for this BabsU letdown. :meds:

A three point loss when you're getting 3.5 ain't a push.

USC/Arizona, 17 point spread, 20-3 final score, now that's a push.

I have such mixed feelings....its like seeing your mother in law drive your new car over a cliff.

I wanted State to win...but this is almost better because it just reminds State that they are State.

Unfortunatly, the ND felatio fest restarts at ESPN.

Ridiculous.

Hey dumbass, who's "we"??

I was the one who initiated the gambling lines talk mentioned in this thread, and I mentioned that Sparty covered for me, which they did, and that USC/Arizona ended up a push, which it did.

Those spreads and those outcomes were based on "gambling lines", so pipe down over there.

Not a pretty win, but I'll take it. Certainly the 4th quarter was the best quarter of football we've played all season. And we're still alive for the BCS, with an easier part of our schedule ahead.

Oh, and btw . . .

Well, that sucks. Haven't really seen anyone else say it, so I will...

Wonderful. Really looking forward to the ND hype firing up again :meds: For the first three quarters, two birds were being killed w/one stone:
1. The Quinn for Heisman talk would really wane
2. ND talk would turn from the greatest team ever to 'what's wrong with ND?"

Oh, and not that it's tellin' everyone anything new, but this is just same old same old for MSU. Seriously, wtf? If I had to pick one team from CFB that would jump out to a 2-3 TD lead into the 4th only to lose it and the game, I wouldn't hesitate... MSU.

When I saw MSU up 17-0, I thought, "of course they are."

When I saw ND score to take the lead, I thought, "of course."

What a crazy game.

They were three tackles, and four framed photos of beaches and mountains away from winning that game.

Plus, Mgo, now you're set up for another national championship. Along the way though you gotta make it clear that ND is your new favorite SEC team and we need to take your word for it that they're going to roll the SEC...

Did you guys see the ND section at Spartan Stadium? Easily the greatest fans in the country. I know that because I studied for two weeks on the ND tradition and history prior to this game.

Also, this loss was part of the plan. John L is a math wizard and figured out that down the road losing this game would actually move them up in the BCS rankings.

Biggest choke of the year. Nearly blowing a huge lead last season against ND should've been a lesson. When your D isn't very good and you are going against a good O you have to keep your foot on the freaking pedal. One score in the whole second-half? Nice, way to fade down-the-stretch. Props to ND for not fighting-on, if you keep swinging good things can happen.

Geez I hate when teams tease and upset and fall-apart..

Would've like to see the Spartans win that game to set up that big game in a couple weeks with both teams unbeaten just so the Wolverines can squash their dreams at the Big House. Instead we have to hear the "Notre Dame isn't dead yet" talk.

If only Babs was here...not.

Truth be told, I was worried right up until Lambert's final interception. I could see Sparty kicking a game-tying FG and forcing overtime. That thought had me scared shitless, since ND sucks in OT (without looking it up, I think we're something like 2-7 all-time in OT games). Lambert's last interception was a thing of beauty to me, the ball takes some strange bounces sometimes, and it bounced our way that time.
