Oh, fuck.

Wait a minute -- USC and ND have only been doing this for 78 years?

Holy fucking shit, "STATISTICALLY," MOST of the big rivalry games are "STATISTICALLY" superior to USC/ND.

every team has one thing as their absolute goal every year, thats the national championship
if you want to say that a national tv audiance or amount of out of towners who drive to sit outside the stadium is a more important statistic than national titles then go ahead and make your arguement, show me what numbers you can come up with that make another rivalry bigger or more meaningful than USC v Notre Dame has been

so doing something for longer is greater than doing something better? Maybe I should trade my M3 in for an Oldsmobile then, or how bout a Ford, those dolts have been building cars for more than 100 years and still cant build one as well as Toyota

Seems to me that some people don't understand the meaning of the word "rivalry." To me, "rivalry" connotes something that is at least competitive. Just sayin'.
T'were mere jokes, Terry. Just jokes. Not to be taken literally.

Besides, isn't the Yankees-Red Sox considered the best rivalry in American professional sports?

Explain to me exactly how THAT one's considered a rivalry when the entire history of that series is almost a never ending tidal wave of Yankee glory and Red Sox misery.

Hatred is what defines a rivalry, really, just good ol' mutual hatred.

Oh, I know. Just yanking your chain.

Two things:

1. If you look at regular season matchups and all, it's probably a fairly even rivalry in terms of all-time wins and losses. Granted, the Yankees have had more success in crunch time, but that brings me to point 2 . . .

2. From this Yankees' fan's perspective, '04 more than compensated for all the beatdowns my Yankees have put on the Red Sox in the past. :brad: I expect to beat them whenever it matters.

No it didn't, not in the Big Picture. You'd still take your 27 World Championships and all those glorious ass rapings over the Red Sox in crunch time in exchange for that one cosmically ridiculous choke job against them in '04.

No contest. It's still WAY better to be the windshield than the bug...

You...are a fucking idiot. Thanks for doing my light work for me, and saving me the trouble of proving it.

Gee, should I "make my argument?" Really? So, what you're saying is that the "biggest rivalry" is subjective?

Since you're a fucking moron, I'll explain this more...yup, you just strongly implied that it is indeed subjective, with the very wording of your statement.

Yet, you spoke in absolutes, and even offered up "statistics" to verify these absolutes.

This is why you're an idiot(who even the other USC fans make fun of), and the reason why I felt compelled to remind you what an idiot you are.

How funny would it have been for you to show up in Missoula yesterday and explained to all those people how superior a rivalry game USC/ND is, and then even tell them your "statistics" to back your claim.

That would have been pretty funny.

KU-MU

this isn't some college vs college game, this is a game between fans who hate each other with a passion. There is true hatred for each other, the players know and feel the hate when they get together. Not a pretty game(record wise), but being the 2nd oldest rivalry in div.1(and creators of homecoming) it has a ton of meaning for the whole year. rack the border war.

many years, going 1-10 would be accepted, as long as you didnt lose to KU.

fuck KU and their fatfuck coach

Bill Quantrill will always be a hero of missourians.

E,
