So could Florida.

My bad.

For the record, Van, I want chaos each and every year in this "system" that we have. If either Ark. or Fla. passes USC and gets to play tOSU in the MNC and wins ... and if USC goes undefeated and wins their bowl game, I WANT there to be a split national champion.

Same thing in reverse, if you know what I mean.

I can see many scenarios as being possible but Arkansas leapfrgging Michigan and a one loss USC into the #2 slot and the title game is not one of 'em...

If Arkansas goes on a tear and whips LSU in their last game and Florida in the SEC championship game, and USC survives in OT, at home against ND, and barely beats UCLA?

It is the BCS, bro.

Doesn't matter though, I still want a playoff. Just imagine for a second what that would be like. Hell, for the last 3 years, your team could be at home.

Imagine what it would be like, instead of watching Cincinnati and Tulsa, in the Tampex Motor City Bowl, or Kansas vs. Purdue, in the Douchebag Flower Bowl ...

Oh, but I'm probably out of line here, bros. After all, there is all that "tradition" to consider.

Shakey indeed. I don’t know that the polls ever constituted exactly 50%, but it’s hard to know for sure, since they change the formula every year or two. Here’s some of the history:

Kendra,

Sounds like something’s chafing your twat. Pass up a chance to correct Dinsdale? I think not. And I knew that the AP poll had been replaced by the Harris poll in the BCS, hence the question regarding the AP poll being relevant to anything anymore. And that bit about watching a game with your wife? More likely you’d be watching Dancing With the Stars. We all know who wears the pants in your family.
