A Nebraska win would actually have no effect on OU. A conference cannot send three teams to the BCS and a three-loss Texas would not get an at-large bid. You would essentially have the same situation except replace Texas with Nebraska in the who-gives-a-shit Fiesta Bowl against Blue Turf State.

In summary...FUCK TEXAS. :)

I haven't had time to do anything lately but lurk, but I wanted to chime in very quickly in response to War Stoops' post. A few points:

-Oklahoma still has to move up to be BCS-eligible (they're currently #15, need to be Top 14 to be considered for an at-large bid). Assuming Rutgers (currently #14) loses to West Virginia, that could do the trick, but there's also the possibility that Georgia Tech (currently #16) could leapfrog Oklahoma with wins against Georgia and in the ACC championship game.
-The Rose Bowl won't take Notre Dame, as that would entail a rematch regardless (ND vs. USC or ND vs. Michigan). They won't want to be bothered with a rematch that does not have national championship implications.
-I don't think the Rose Bowl would consider Arkansas even if USC goes to the BCS championship game. You'd have to go back to about 1988 or so for the last time Arkansas played in a bowl game even remotely approaching this magnitude, so I think there will be some rightful concerns about Arkansas' ability to travel, particularly to a game on the west coast.
-Florida could be a good bet to wind up in the Rose Bowl if the Gators beat Florida State and lose to Arkansas in the SEC championship game.
-LSU is an intriguing option for the Rose Bowl, but they'd have to beat Arkansas for the Rose Bowl to even consider it.
-If the Rose Bowl winds up taking a Big East team, it would be West Virginia, not Louisville. West Virginia is something of an anomaly for Big East schools, in that it's a land-grant university that travels well for bowl matchups.

Overall, Oklahoma is probably the best bet for the Rose Bowl, assuming they're BCS-eligible, given the fact that they're a lot closer to Pasadena than is either Florida or West Virginia, and they have a rabid fan base that will travel well. The downside is that in the best case scenario, they'll be at or near the bottom of the Top 14. If the Rose Bowl doesn't take Oklahoma, they'll probably wind up with either LSU (only if they beat Arkansas), Florida (only if they beat FSU and lose to Arkansas), or West Virginia.

OTOH, if the SEC champion plays in the Sugar Bowl, that'll mean Michigan vs. USC in the Rose Bowl. In that case, the Sugar Bowl will take the SEC runner-up, and Notre Dame appears to be an automatic for the other Sugar Bowl slot as long as they remain BCS-eligible. I would expect the Big East champ in the Orange Bowl (only exception would be if West Virginia wins the Big East and Maryland wins the ACC, in which case the Orange would take Boise State to avoid a rematch; or if West Virginia wins the Big East and winds up in the Rose Bowl), and Boise State in the Fiesta Bowl.

Just my thoughts, fwiw.
