Now we're getting somewhere. There is no good reason we need to let these assholes in here.
Unless of course they have been here all along. It is shocking, I know, but there are many people who were born and have lived their whole lives within the borders of this great nation and they also happen to be muslim.
I would be pissed as hell that some paranoid idiot caused my flight to be delayed by three hours.

My comments were said with tongue firmly planted in cheek...I wasn't suggesting that we deport all Muslims. I just think the paranoia in this country is reaching a new high. Before 9-11, we didn't give anyone a second look to anyone when we boarded flights. It takes one incident and now we're freaked anyone when we see anyone named Muhammad.

I had to sit next to a 300 pound woman on an airplane once, with sweaty-smelling clothes on. Halfway through the flight, she whipped out a half-eaten Whopper from her purse and started pounding it. The conconction of mayo and ketchup was running down the side of her mouth, and I thought it was going to start dripping onto my right shoulder, which was involuntarily rooted into her giant fat roll which was hanging over the armrest, and encroaching into my space.
I'll take the muzzie over her any day of the week, praying, or otherwise.

First of all, it isn't merely hijacking that is the concern, all they'd need to do is smuggle explosive components on board. Do you think the "No liquids on board" restriction was a joke? Britain is currently monitoring somewhere around 30 suspected terrorist plots. We have a border anyone can cross undetected if they plan well. It is known that there are sleeper cells in the US. There are dozens of small airports where security isn't so great. That yankees pitcher had no trouble flying into a skyscraper in NY. If you fly at all you know the security restrictions are still very strict. If we were safe, that shit would not be needed. Do you think the airlines want to risk another 9-11 by becoming lax? I know enough not to do anything that might cause disruption, and if I'm stupid enough to do so, I would expect to be tossed.
Obviously not, since any swarthy looking individual acting at all "unusual" in an airport presents a mortal threat to our national security.
Anyone, swarthy or not, acting unusual in an airport is an idiot and should be escorted out to the curb. They've closed down LAX in the past because some fuckhead left a briefcase on a bench even though there are signs everywhere NOT to leave luggage unattended, and another closing was due to some other tard jumping a turnstyle into a restricted area because he was late for his plane.
Or are you attempting to suggest that Muslims are no longer trying to attack us?
The ones in the article at the top of the thread weren't.
Doesn't matter. They were asked to leave, they refused. The airline has the right to boot them.
If the Muslims are trying to attack us then we must not be safe.
So we must do everything we can to reduce that possibility.
This has nothing to do with the government, or violation of civil liberties. The Airline, as a privately run company, has the right to remove any passengers they consider a danger or disruption to normal flight operations. This includes morbidly overweight people, unbathed people, drunks, disruptive or threatening people, and the catch all group who the airlines decide should be removed for "security reasons".
Since 9-11 the airlines have quite a lot of liberty in this regard. Besides that, a business has the right to refuse service to anyone, for whatever reason they decide. I could get in a verbal argument in a restaurant
and they have the right to kick me out.
This isn't about squashing individual freedoms. They weren't arrested, they weren't detained, they weren't charged. Plus, there are other airlines.

Not exactly the whole truth, according to the article:
A passenger raised concerns about the imams — three of whom said their normal evening prayers in the airport terminal before boarding the Phoenix-bound plane, according to one — through a note passed to a flight attendant, according to Andrea Rader, a spokeswoman for US Airways.
The other passengers on the flight, which was carrying 141 passengers and five crew members, were re-screened for boarding, Rader said. The plane took off about three hours after the men were removed.
If I was on that flight I would have been pretty fucking pissed at the moron who caused everybody else to get off the plane and wait three hours because he couldn't handle being in the same place with six guys wearing turbans. I guess you'd probably do the same thing, though.

I could give two shits about the Muzzies and how they are treated. Die, you terrorist sympathizer, die.
You are truly a fucking moron. The people in question DID NOT PRAY ON THE PLANE. Can you read? The question is irrelevant in relation to the article posted.
I'm sooooooo sorry that you live in fear for your life 24 hours a day. Perfect example of the dumbest 75% I was talking about, though. Blame the Republicans for intentionally keeping the fear factor as high as possible for the past 5 years, mainly for their own political gain. When are you going to learn to think for yourself? Based on Nov 7 at least some people have started to.
Not that it matters to you, but my brother and his wife were in their apartment 1 block from the WTC on 9/11. They had to run for their lives and didn't even find each other for a couple of days. My son in law might have been killed if he had gone to work early that day. So, don't give me your shit about not having to live with terrorism. How close were YOU to the WTC that day? Obviously not close enough. I live about a mile from the largest Marine base in the US. How many of your neighbors are coming home dead these days?
Asshole.
On one hand the Republicans have made the fear factor too high, on the other hand they didn't do enough to prevent the terrorist act on 9/11. Whis is it with you guys?
I don't care if they prayed in the terminal or on the plane their muslim brothers have committed enough violence against Westerners to place them under suspicion.
Sorry, but fuck them.

So why did only 3 of the six pray in the terminal? Maybe if their little show didn't succeed in what they wanted then the other 3 would pray on the plane in the aisle? That would certainly piss of the other passengers and get them front and center in the media........
Apparently they were critical of the US and Iraq and were talking loudly at the gate. Also this nugget:
According to a police report, a US Airways manager said three of the men had one-way tickets and no checked baggage. Some of the men also asked for seat belt extensions even though a flight attendant told police she thought they didn't need them.
The police report said the flight's captain had already decided he wanted the men off the plane after the passenger passed him a note pointing out "suspicious Arabic men."
An airport police officer and a Federal Air Marshal agreed the combination of circumstances was suspicious, and eventually asked the men to leave the airplane, according to the police report. The report said they got off the plane without incident.

If the City of Minneapolis can ban smoking and put other restrictions on activities at its airport, it certainly can prohibit religious rituals. Not that there's any such ordinance currently, but these idiots are just begging for more nanny state bullshit out of sheer stupidity.
