All the PAC haters here seem to dwell on "but you lost to OREGON STATE!!!!" Newsflash, they're #24, and could finish up with 10 wins.
i love the fb experts who can detect a team's peak. for some reason that peak seems to always coincide with
how can i make my argument look even better?
oregon state isn't a bad team at all.

i was without much in the way off telly reception this season, so i looked on espn.com and it says oklahoma has two losses. yeah, thought i'd point that out. perhaps they shouldn't have left themselves vulnerable to the situation that did them in against oregon?

OK....at their peak
thus far.
I live in that state. I hate the beavs. I often have sports radio on all day. Pretty much every beavs game is on local TV. This time of year, it's all beavs/Ducks, all the time.
I'm suffering from a severe case of overexposure to the beavs. As a victim of such, I'd say I'm equally, if not more qualified to comment on the beavs' ups and downs...or at least as far as us armchair hacks go.
I guess what I'm saying is, I'm unfortunately all-to familiar with the Sheepfuckers' season. And that was very definitely their peak. That, and the Washington game, which got their ball rolling.

i get following trends, i'm just pointing out how lots of ppl take liberties when pointing out when a team was peaking. i have the feeling that this claim is based on 1. a recent string of games or 2. how does it affect claims about other teams and not so much on 3. are the players in sycnh with one another, 4. are they still committing stupid penalties, 5. is there a collective swagger, and 6. etc.

Fair enough, M. But my "take" is based upon having beavs football beaten into my skull for the whole season, and I've watched all or part of most of the games.
USC was definitely the "peak" they've shown so far. I'd say it was upsetting a then-regarded Washington team, but then they went and knocked off USC, so I guess I can't sau UDub was the "peak."

Dude...it's the beavs...of course they are. They could go 12-0(or 13-0, with bullshit scheduling), and they'd still be committing stupid penalties....due in no small part that the average beaver player is fucking stupid.
is there a collective swagger, and 6. etc.
Rfer to my previous statement -- the beavs could go 0-12, and they'd still have a swagger like they're going to Disneyland...because they're fucking stupid. Up and down program over the last decade, but regardless of success, there's never a lack of swagger in Corvallis. Ever.

Jsc, to be fair all we can do is go by how each team is ranked right now. If you try to go by how each team was ranked in Week 1 or Week 3 it just opens up a huge separate debate. Anyway, Oregon was ranked in the Top 25 when USC destroyed them but they're not ranked there now so I'm counting them...
Most every team out there has a similar story. Right now LSU owns two wins over Top 25 teams (plus they lost both their rivalry games) and the opponent's rankings right now is the time frame that matters most when comparing how teams should be ranked...right now.
No way in hell LSU or OU should be ranked higher than USC right now. Ridiculous.

Correction...
I just realized I've been mistakenly counting Oregon St as a win for USC when I looked at this new BCS Top 25. I've been saying USC has wins over FIVE Top 25 teams when in fact it's only FOUR now due to Oregon St supplanting Oregon in the Top 25.
Mea culpa.
Four is still the most though!
