I know where my heart was when I made that statement.

I had to watch my 93 year old grandma die in pain, and I punched holes in the wall with anger.

Did someone tell you she was lucky to be dying?
Yeah... she did!!!

You sit there for weeks on end and hear someone you love screaming in pain at 93 years old!!!

Then you'll understand!

It took me 1 more week, before I could get the pussy ass doctor's to make her "comfortable"!!!

If you know what I mean.

I'm sorry you had to go through that...I didn't mean anything by that and I'm sorry your grandmother had to go through what she did. You just have to realize that what you said originally came off to me as being very insensitive and thoughtless especially coming from you and the way you usually address me. I didn't know that was a reference to your own grandmother. Be careful next time you say something like that because that next person might not be so forgiving.

Well, considering that you didn't stay four years at either place . . .

And given the number of people on this board who use "we" when referring to the team they root for, often at the pro level, I daresay this is a strange bone for you to pick. As BSmack noted, I graduated from ND. There are only about 150,000 living people, give or take, who can make that claim. So I'd say that fact alone gives me a more intimate connection to ND's football team than any fan can have to a pro team, short of having played or worked for the team.

Oh, and btw, I did play football at ND. Interhall, that is -- although it's full contact with pads. I'd say the talent level is at least comparable to Division III. Our team's QB had been second team all-state in high school behind Blair Kiel. And Marty Mooney, who was a backup QB on ND's team last season and had been starting QB at Yale (Division 1-AA), also played interhall football briefly in between.

That is something I'm willing to agree with...unless Claussen comes in and lights it up from day 1, the Irish will have a tough year next season. The interesting thing will be if IrishFan will give Weis some leash for next year or will they still expect a 10 win season with a depleted roster.
Irish Fan will give Weis some lee-way for next year. Taking into account the team he inherited, he had to win it all in the first two years or likely wait until the 5th year to make a legitimate run. Weis is addressing needs across the board for both depth and talent.

I don't think Clausen will walk in and start. My money is on Demetrius Jones. After all, their QB is going to need to run to not get killed next year.

Having few starters back is a blessing in disguise. The back-ups are young and talented, and recruited by the current staff.

Big fucking deal. I was a walk-on at OU and then transferred to USC as they had a position open. The NROTC told myself and a guy in the unit that was a long snapper that we can no longer play due to us signing a contract with the Navy. Later that officer got whacked as my buddy's dad was a USN Captain and told him about that bullshit.

So, I guess you can say "we" but it's not something I would do. I could also say "we" with Fresno State as I got an advanced teaching credential there, but I won't.

How long am I going to be in your dome with the 2 sigs? I mean, one is okay and healthy on a smack board, but two?

I didn't say it was a big deal. You asked me, in a roundabout sort of way, if I played football at ND. And technically I did, so I responded in kind.

To each his own, of course. But how big a transgression is it on a sports board? Like I pointed out, many on here do that for pro teams, and my connection to ND is closer. To the best of my knowledge, no one here has played pro sports (I think there was a poster on one of the previous boards called Slow Elk who claimed to have played for the A's, but he didn't make it over here).

Since you asked, sort of . . .

I tend to keep these on in a rotating fashion, with no set time until I come across something that strikes me as worthy of going up there instead. So far, I haven't come across another one, although JON's claim about being a prophet is somewhat tempting.

Yeah, I saw that Jon KHOA statement. I "wander" if he did it on purpose because you can't be that stupid.

Like you've said, to each his own. I did the football thing because it was an experience I could remember and appreciate later in life.

I saw so many things with Barry Switzer's program and it was a lot of fun witnessing events that most people never see.

I'm sure all of us have seen automatic weapons fired in dorm rooms, gang rapes and multi kilo drug deals. Big deal. ;)

Actually, 5 OU basketball players took a regular white bitch down the hall in the jock dorm across the street from the office part of the football stadium and carried her like a log into a room.

My buddy Benson saw the whole thing as he went out into the hall to see what was going on. We were drinking beer in his room (surprise) and he came back in and said the bitch in question was drunk and saying she doesn't know any of them. Then one told her, "Shut up bitch or we'll cut you."

I forget what happened as a result but I think a few got into trouble.

Good times!
