Then I discovered Smack Chat when I was a junior in high school, where it was required to have a take and not suck. Then it was onto thetrolls and now this place.

I am now 33

1997-1999 - Graduated college moved to Altamonte Springs, FL for entry level Med Sales job. Actually liked O-town. My best friends were all moving back to Tampa....so I followed.

2000-2002 - Moved back to Tampa worked at two local restaurants in South Tampa while dating and living with a brazilian whack job whose hotness was only exceded by her craziness. Total looney. Funnest years of my life. My Post Apartment complex was filled with mid/late 20's chicks. My neighbors worked at Mons and threw the most insane parties. Got into some bad habits and really wasn't going anywhere.

Summer 2002-2007 - Loss of my grandfather, who paid for my college and was truly disappointed in what I had done with my life up to that point. Determined to change my life after the funeral I set out to actually make something of myself. Found a recruiter(or did he find me) who hooked me up with my current company. I met my boss and future mentor....whose everyday mantra of 'you only get what you demand' reverberates in my mind endlessly......mostly yourself but it applies to friends, family, etc. Whereever your bar is set that's usually what people will perform up to. Quite sad, but equally true. After owning all the sales records for a couple of years my boss moved on and I took his place as the boss. In my first year, we were up 30% over the previous year and had a record year for the company. I never been better than now.....mentally, financially.....I think put on a pound or two though, but I'm working on it. Tampa is full of total whack jobs(or it seems that's all I attract). Still single.

I almost feel normal.....instead of underachieving.....overachieving. Just wish he was around to see it.

I started posting on the Rome board in early 1998. I remember getting in to it with Gal and DMX. The huskers were big and they pretty much ruled the board. I worked for Dell and was bored most of the time so I would post to take up the day.

1998 I was getting divorced and was 27 working for Dell in Austin. Watched every sporting event on TV. Chased ass and drank like a fish. I weighed about 185. I wasn't making shit for money but I was happy.

2007, I am 35 and just added another child to the family. My son is 3 1/2 and I got to take him to his first UT game this year. Pretty awesome. My daughter was born 3 weeks ago. Man, do 2 kids make me feel old. I have been married for 6 years and love my job. I now weigh about 225 due to the fact that I travel like crazy and blow off exercise. Life is truly a blessing.

I think that Florida State fans were the first people I got into it with, and everybody thought that I was a troll because I came out, guns-a-blazin'. Then, everybody thought I was a bandwagoner until Frozen realized who I was from our days of not hanging out at a lot of the same parties back in college.

I like Frisco's idea though...

Me in 1999: single, no kids, out of college, and working, doing the bartending thing on the side while working for Inside Oklahoma High School Sports.

Me in 2007: still single, still no kids, GRADUATED from college, teaching, and feeling much older than I am. (33 last Sunday.)

Had I known in 1999 what I know now, I'd have probably gotten back into school sooner, and out of the "bar life and chasing young, dumb college ass around" scene. I can't believe that I just typed that.

99- single but living with girl I'd eventually marry, smoking dope about 6 days a week, drinking about 3, stayed up until 2 AM during the week, 4 AM on the weekends, had multiple sports seasons going on various Playstation games, listened to real music when I drove places, had hair, laughed at the idea of only having sex 4 times a week, talked about the "good shit" I smoked

07- married with kid, couldn't tell the difference between dope and oregano now, rarely drink, only see 2 AM when daughter is up in the middle of the night, could plant seeds in the dust on my Playstation, listen to Wiggles when I drive places, bald (only 50% by choice, mother nature was going to get the goal so I took the assist), laugh at the thought I might have sex 4 times a month*, talk about the shit my daughter took in public

* it should be noted marriage didn't do this, having a kid did. Alanis your thoughts.

Can't remember the exact date I registered on the Rome board. Besides the different stops the rest is the same. Still a phone man with bad takes, married with 2 kids. I was married with one kid then, still married, with another kid.

I'm still laughing at the idea of being employed to make websites, but the thing has a ring of permanence to it now...

I haven't been able to be around too much lately, but the thing that I like it that I know I can come in here now and in the future and read some good stuff. I can start a thread out the blue, like "hey lax" or 88, your thoughts?" or "Crown, you ain't owned this forum yet", and it'll get done, and done right.

Started in 99 on the ole Rome board as Noleslover. through the board switches adopter the name of Nolesy as 88 tagged me with it and I thought he was a stand up guy.

Noleslover in 99: FSU fan was hated it seemed as FSU had just won NC and seemed headed for another one. Band wagon posters such as Ace and Pacedog tended to contribute to the anti FSU feelings.
Remember going around with Skull over Weinkee winning the Hiesman over his boy Josh.
Like every one else, got my ass handed to me the forst month or so and have hung out since weathering the initial storm of smack that seemed to be every newbies right of passage.
Had 1 kid and 1 wife.

07 Nolesy. Still here after all these years. Adopted 2 kids bringing the total to 3. Still 1 wife, the origional.
Still can't figure out how to put up an aviator under my name.
Have been flat on my back the past 3 weeks with 2 herniated disc. Probably looking at surgery in a few weeks as the PT is'nt working. Hurts like hell to sit here and type this but I had to get in on this thread.

Best posters over the years are to many to list. But I must admit that no one has made me laugh as much as Jon= Bitch.

2007 Chief. Graduated with Masters from FSU and also got Promoted to Regional Sales Manager at my new company in the same month. Getting married in two weeks and having bachelor party today. If all goes well I'll stumble in tomorrow sometime before the Colts take the field and I'll smell like cotton candy and bubble gum from all the nice boobs in my face.

Jeez, after 10ish years slinging drinks, youse guys think that I don't know about stripper glitter? ...although it was rarely the glitter that got me busted. It was always the smell. Strippers have a very distinct odor to them... kinda like a combination of Liz Claiborne, Daddy-Didn't-Love-Me-Enough, and Failure. When that smell gets on you, it's pretty much your ass.

First registered on the Rome board back in January '00 right after we got a computer for the first time. Back then I mostly stayed on the main boards, didn't really migrate over to the CFB forum until '03, but now I stay almost exclusively here.

In '00 I was married with 1 kid and 1 stepkid, a lawyer, just recently bought my first home. Today I'm still married, still a lawyer, 2 kids and one stepkid now, bigger home now and a few extra pounds.

Unlike some of you I apparently dodged the baldness bullet. In my early 20's my hairline started to recede, then stopped. I lost enough hair to look "distinguished," but not enough to look "bald." Bigger concerns for me were the move to bifocals (not unexpected, given that my mom has them and my dad had them before he died, what was unexpected was that the move came at age 41, when I figured it was still 15-20 years away), as well as a few broken bones incurred while chasing dogs and moving carpets, and a cancer scare in '04 that fortunately turned out to be a false alarm.

Damn. I haven't been on this board in weeks, and I come back to a thread like this that makes me need to post even though it's 1am and I have to be up in 6 hours.

October 1999: Registered on the Rome board as MiketheangrydrunkenCUfan because a) my name is Mike, b) I'm a CU fan, and c) Rome and Howard were/are my two favorite radio personalities, so I wanted to pay homage to Howard with my Rome nic.

I was M-Dub™ on all the boards in between (and still am on every other board I post on), but I dusted off this nic when I saw that BtH had done the same. I guess I'm just a follower.

In Oct. 1999, I was 26 and didn't even own a computer. I did all of my posting from the Mac lab at CU, where I was finishing up my BS (better late than never). I had one cat, no GF, smoked a lot of pot, drank a lot of beer, and delivered pizzas in my free time.

In Feb. 2007, I'm 33, and finishing up my Masters in Journalism at ASU. I still have the same cat, plus a dog that I inherited from a 5-year relationship that ended last year. I have a new GF, but it's not looking too promising right now. I work as a music writer for a local weekly and still make ends meet with a couple pizza delivery shifts (let the jokes begin) and student loans. I play in a band, which is something I've wanted to do since I was a kid. Still smoke weed and drink beer. Bought a condo back in 03 right at the beginning of the real estate boom here in the PHX area, so it's a nice feeling that, worst case scenario, I could sell this place, pay off all my debt, and start with a clean slate.

I'm not where I want to be yet, but I'm a hell of a lot closer than I was 7 1/2 years ago, and it's been fun having you fuckers along for the ride.
