I do like Tex-Mex, but that is not Authentic Mexcan food.

THAT is authentic Mexican food. We went there when we were in San Antonio. My wife hated it as she thought Tex-Mex was Mexican food. If you want true Mexican food in the San Antonio area, La Fogata is the place to go.

Never tried, or even seen or heard of french fries in a burrito, and I've been in San Diego (or at least San Diego County) since 1973, give or take 5 years in Vegas. Not saying I've been everywhere or seen everything in LoCal, but I think whoever wrote that article has probably been to San Diego once or twice as a tourist, got directed to some popular hot-spot pseudo Messican watering hole in Old Town or the Gaslamp District and was convinced by the description on the laminated menu that their "San Diego Burrito" was some kind of San Diego "tradition". What a fucking joke. Anybody tried to offer me a bunch of french fries rolled up in a tortilla and called it a burrito might just find said concoction dripping off his fucking chin.

Carne asada fries are popular with the kids here. It sounds quite gross to me.
Potatoes or french fries should not be part of Mexican eating.

First time I've ever pulled that one. So shoot me.
Anyhow, I had a carne asada burrito tonight from Rosa's here in the Avocado Capital of the World. Delicious chopped up carne asada cooked with some salsa and rolled in a flour tortilla with guacamole. Best green salsa in the world on the side.
If anything is a San Diego Burrito, that's it.

I've done that in the Golf Forum before. Caught myself at the last minute a few times. Since I've never edited anything, that "edit" button is more of an annoyance than anything.
OK, sounds like I got the straight dope on a San Diego burrito. Might have been written by the same person who did the Oregon burrito entry...while I've been to Muchas Gracias many times(small chain, mostly in medium-sized towns, always open 24 hours...which is nice), and I see Oregon Burritos served in a few places, it ain't like it's the first thing on the menu or anything.
What, pray tell, are carne asada fries? I could guess, but that would take the shock and awe out of it.

Never had carne asada fries.
Animal fries at In 'N Out are cardiologist's dream, though.
Take a regular order of fries and fix it up like an "animal style" double double burger - two pieces of melted cheese, grilled onions and thousand island dressing.
