Whatever happened to Don? I don't see him on 3:00 a.m. TV anymore, nor do I see the real estate midgets from Florida. All I get is the fat bastard with the beard, screaming at me about Oxy-Clean.

It's been a good decade, maybe longer, since I heard that name. I have a pretty good memory, but that one honestly had faded from the conscious. Some of you guys have amazing memories, or perhaps it's an obsession with minutiae (or both).

Truth be told, one thing he said always stuck with me: It's time for people to quit thinking job, and start thinking their own small business. He wasn't telling me anything I didn't already know, but I did take it to heart, even if it took me a decade or so to get into position to do it. Of course, I'm not placing TINY CLASSIFIED ADS for 1-900 numbers in the paper.

As for what happened to him, I read that he got sued by some of his victims, ERRR, the people he was helping, and wound up filing Bankruptcy. Caveat: I read it on the interwebs, so take it with a grain of salt. But if true, he's almost certainly back to his old studio apartment, and it would explain why he's no longer on the TV at 3:00 a.m. (although, at my age, 3:00 a.m. is just a rumor nowadays).
