Doh! I see KC took Will Franklin WR Mizzou.

I freaking love it.

Oakland, with no picks in rds 2 or 3 and with verrah pressing needs at DE, LT (and elsewhere) steps up in rd 4 and selects ....

... a VERY fast corner.

lol @ Al

Agreed on the blocking TE, when are they going to pick a decent WR? That's definitely a position at need.

Uhh... Were the Chiefs in Cap trouble? No
I'm pretty sure we didn't break the back for Devard Darling
Maybe Clark wants to go David Glass and just spend enough to get a starting line up

BTW - Did you you buy this yet?

And if I'm not mistaken, I think we needed more than one OL
The Cottum pick already seems like whiff

Trading a great young player away (unless you are TOTALLY bending someone over) because you don't want to pay him makes you a pussy, Wagon.

Sorry you had to find out this way.

Oakland's overall draft was uninspiring.
McFreakofnature is an exciting pick, of course.
And trading the 2nd for a 24 yr old corner who's been to two pro bowls doesn't suck.
But the rest of our draft shows that Al's fascination with fast guys and shiny objects is only growing more profound with age.

Oh ... I learned something brand new on draft day, btw.
DMac's mommy is a crack ho.
hahahaha

Do we have anyone to rush the passer?
How's the middle of our D-Line?
Oh -- Rob Ryan sez Tommy Kelly is da best in da bidness. rotf ...
Is JaMarcus' backside safe?

I guess the paln is to outscore folks 52-47 each week.
Might be tough to manage with your QB wonderchild laying on his back, though.
But wtf do I know?

Ahh well, too many holes to fill and not enough picks to git 'er done.

At least we aren't the Chiefs.

If you think Dorsey will get a $74 mil contract with $31 mil of that guaranteed then you obviously don't know a goddamn thing about the NFL.

Not to mention that it's Albert's contract, not Dorsey, that the Allen deal should be compared to.

McFadden
Bush
Fargas
Rhodes
Jordan

Are they all Raiders this season or do they try and move one or two of them?

Bush is a very big question mark to me, Nix.
Just dunno what to make of him.

My guess is McFadden, Fargas and Bush will be on the roster.
Rhodes and Jordan gonzo.

McFadden runs a little tougher than most people imagine, IMO, but I don't view him as being a 'workhorse' type of back for Oakland ... this year.

He'll get his touches though, by carries and catches, and be a threat to go yard at any time.
McFadden is a TERRIFIC fit in the zone blocking scheme the 'duds run now.
Fargas will get a good number of carries and he'll bang away.
I'm hoping Bush also gets into the act.

Guess we wait and see.

Off that topic ...

I'm hearing Oakland might be trying to make a move for Jason Taylor.
Dangling M. Huff as trade bait.
Hmmmmm .......

That's BULLSHIT and you know it- they would've picked Dorsey even if Jared Allen was still here. If you think otherwise you're an idiot.

mvscal wrote:In that case, they would have had Dorsey and Allen and had the makings of a pretty nice D line. Now they only have an unproven rookie who will have to carry the load for a very iffy line.
You're right, they do....for now.
If you think that represents progress or any kind of improvement, you are a paste eating dumbfuck.
Hey, nobody said they were going to win anything this year anyway....besides, it worked for your team. Maybe we can suck for the better part of a DECADE like the Blots did to "rebuild".
But hey, the Queefs saved a little cash. Too bad they don't have anyone to spend it on.
The same was said of the Packers a couple of years ago, and clearly their approach has worked well for them.

Raider RB coach Tom Rathman speaking at Raider rookie minicamp.

[red ass]“I don’t care if you were the fourth round pick, one of the top guys of the SEC that have ever come out as a runner, I don’t care if you’re Justin Fargas ran for 1,009 yards,” Rathman said. “I mean, we have a standard here of the play that we want to present as a group of running backs, and we’re going to hold everybody that suits up and steps out on that field to those standards. When you’re not able to get it done to those standards, we’re going to go to the next guy.”[/red ass]

LLL.. LLOL

M. Bush, btw, is said to be impressing folks with his very smooth pass-catching ability.
Big fuggen dude who moves like a much smaller man.

In Pittsburgh that's known as "Davenporting". It's also accompanied by hitting that resembles a smaller man.

Maybe so for Bush too.
Have to wait and see what he can actually bring at the NFL level.

Just dunno right now.
