short of some people's prejudice against older people.
You'll notice that I mentioned that other candidates have run in the past who were older than McCain is now. There are some significant health concerns for McCain. The rather severe case of melanoma he had, for one. Also, he hasn't released any psychological records; given his background that might be relevant.
Also-- I got news for you-- the idea of the POTUS under such stress that they age so much is pure
BULLSHIT !! Let me clue you in--- you will not look like you do now in 8 years !!
IDIOTS !!
Presidents serve four year terms, not eight years, old man. The two most recent single term Presidents -- Carter and Poppy Bush -- also aged significantly during their terms.

I think Wolfman’s recent rants/meltdowns in here are ample evidence of why people are concerned about putting senile citizens in the White House. It’s not age discrimination, it’s self-preservation.

I completely disagree. His recent behavior is simply an indication that he's a slow learner, and his life "experience" is finally starting to bear fruit. He shoulda known a long time ago that this is a smack board (allegedly) and acted accordingly then. The fact that he is now starting to use this board in the fashion it is intended to be used shows that he is only now starting to get it. His brain seems to actually be kicking into high gear. I'm tellin' you, the ol' codger's got a mind like a trap door.
Wait-- who instituted the "nice" zero tolerance policy? The freedom on the board should not be curtailed merely by fiat. If it is limited at all there should be some sensible reasoning involved. Like that there is no freedom to post personal info. But a restriction on one's tenor in posting is a little far fetched. I'm inclined to be one of the nicest posters around, even on a smack board.
And I'll continue to be nice to folks because what counts in the jungle isn't showing at all times a fearsome aspect to attempt to overawe anyone. What counts is the substantive ability to make someone wish they never crossed paths with you in an aggressive manner.
There is a trace of Niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice tradition in the jungle. Those with game can easily afford to take part in it.
You claim that the ability to stand up under stress is a yob requirement. So, do you want ....
a. a guy who's resume reads lifelong local political hack, 2 year part time senator and real smoove talker (so long as there's a prompter in front of him....
or
2. a fighter jock who spent five years in a hole being tortured and then a couple of decades in the senate actually doing stuff, often to the chagrin of the rest of his party.
I'm no big McCain fan, but, if you are gonna say that Obama can hack it better than McCain, simply because he is a few decades younger, well, as mvscal would say, your a dumbfukk.
Love him or hate him, it's hard to deny that Mac needs a wheel barrel to cart his balls around in.
Actually, he'd prolly say nog lovin' dumbfukk, but, I got class and stuff.

Dude was on leave visiting family after completing Army paratrooper training, and was relating the experience of his first jump to his ol' man, a grizzled veteran of the 101st Airborne. He confided that he was afraid to jump out of a perfectly good airplane, but that the jumpmaster would hear nothing of it. He mentioned that when it came time for him to make his initial jump, he turned to the jumpmaster and said, "Sorry, Sir...I can't do it." The jumpmaster replied, "You're going to jump out of this plane right now, or I'm gonna fuck you in the ass!!" The ol' man then asked, "So you jumped, right?" Junior replied, "A little, at first."
