You'll notice that I mentioned that other candidates have run in the past who were older than McCain is now. There are some significant health concerns for McCain. The rather severe case of melanoma he had, for one. Also, he hasn't released any psychological records; given his background that might be relevant.

Presidents serve four year terms, not eight years, old man. The two most recent single term Presidents -- Carter and Poppy Bush -- also aged significantly during their terms.

I think Wolfman’s recent rants/meltdowns in here are ample evidence of why people are concerned about putting senile citizens in the White House. It’s not age discrimination, it’s self-preservation.

I completely disagree. His recent behavior is simply an indication that he's a slow learner, and his life "experience" is finally starting to bear fruit. He shoulda known a long time ago that this is a smack board (allegedly) and acted accordingly then. The fact that he is now starting to use this board in the fashion it is intended to be used shows that he is only now starting to get it. His brain seems to actually be kicking into high gear. Wait-- who instituted the "nice" zero tolerance policy? The freedom on the board should not be curtailed merely by fiat. If it is limited at all there should be some sensible reasoning involved. Like that there is no freedom to post personal info. But a restriction on one's tenor in posting is a little far fetched. I'm inclined to be one of the nicest posters around, even on a smack board.

And I'll continue to be nice to folks because what counts in the jungle isn't showing at all times a fearsome aspect to attempt to overawe anyone. What counts is the substantive ability to make someone wish they never crossed paths with you in an aggressive manner.

There is a trace of Niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice tradition in the jungle. Those with game can easily afford to take part in it.
