I'm not pulling for anyone in this game really, but it is entertaining to see Aldrich get shoved around and not get the commit 9 fouls a game Sasha Kaun treatment he's used to (especially at AFH).

BtH are you aware of what Alexander did while on campus?

one difference here (outside the fact no media is involved) is that what i said actually happened. conjecture is speculation about something that may or may not happen. what 3-4 of OU's attorneys knew at the time (a month before it happened) was a set of two scenarios which played out exactly as one of them told me. if you prefer to believe something else, go for it.
Actually conjecture is an inference from presumptive evidence or a conclusion deduced by surmise. So from
second hand information about a meeting regarding
possible decisions you two Cletuses act as if it is gospel fact that Sampson was going to be fired by OU. So again, saying that OU absolutely would have fired Sampson is pure conjecture.
Also, lots of the "inside info" I've seen reported is sworn by those posting it to have actually happened. There's no question that the relationship between OU and Sampson wasn't quite as warm and sunny as it was prior to the allegations being brought to light by the rival Cowpokes. But we'll simply never know what OU would have done because IU acted before OU could do anything, or nothing. Hence, speculation and conjecture.
But hey, keep on telling yourselves that OU has a higher moral character than most schools if it'll help you sleep at night. Just ignore those pesky NCAA infractions on the gridiron.

that has nothing to do with i'm saying. gridiron either. but, you got fucked by Kelvin. don't blame it on OU. if that's the angle you want to take, so be it. as vociferous and defensive about any criticism of Bob Knight as you are....i'm not taking any claims of homerism too seriously from you.
you loved Kelvin, didn't you? it's on this board if i want to search for it.

I'm not blaming OU for anything. AT ALL. Not sure how you'd arrive at that conclusion. All I've said from the start is that OU got bailed out of having to make any tough decisions regarding Sampson (firing him or keeping him) because IU hired him first. SCS said OU bounced Sampson which is 100% false. Again what they may or may not have done is speculation and conjecture. Why is that so hard to follow?
To be fair the superiority claims came from SCS and not you. So that football jab was aimed at him.
As far as my stance on Sampson, yes I did like him. Damn shame he was done in by his inability to put down a phone because I still think dude is a pretty solid coach. IU wasn't fucked by Sampson though. They were fucked by the incompetent administration that hired a coach in the midst of an investigation into infractions and then failed to properly monitor him.

Sampson resigned. for one.
i don't know what your crusade is here Shine.....you seem to think making assertions make facts. sorry you got screwed. I've never met SCS, but it's weird how we have had the same information on this about Kelvin (on a half-dozen threads).
that you went the football card already says you are peddling.
i already told you 1. it was the internet and take it for what it's worth and 2. too bad Kelvin fucked himself at OU and IU at the time he was really about to get the recognition he deserved (as a basketball coach).
i will tell you (again): what i said is exactly what happened. my father is a lot of things, but he isn't lying to his son about OU basketball.

Sampson resigned AFTER he had the IU job offered and sewn up. Not exactly resigning in shame or being "bounced" now is it.
That I went football shows that those claiming superior morality within their admin shouldn't have dirty houses.
Since apparently reading comprehension isn't in your skill set I'll just consider this my last post on the subject. No "crusade" here. SCS made a false comment, I called him on it and it's spun on from there.

here's what i'm saying. Kelvin did get bounced by OU, but only after he was given a chance to "show contrition" for the violations, he wasn't going to do that. for whatever reason.
so he essentially agreed to David Boren's terms that Kelvin would never get another raise if the allegations were prosecutable. Boren then advised him, as a lawyer and former member of the National Security Council in Congress, that Kelvin "should start looking for another job"
.
.

it's not superiority. david boren is an ego freak. he's raised a shit-ton of money at OU but he's also a crazy bastard...his wife is even crazier.
what you fail to see is (and i've explained it a couple times) Sampson had a couple choices to make about his job a month before he resigned. this comes from the lawyers involved.

Here's what I'm saying. Kelvin was an employee of Oklahoma University until he took a position with another school and resigned from Oklahoma University. Therefore it is false to say that he was bounced by Oklahoma University, because HE WASN'T.
Now that we've got that out of the way...
Isn't this thread supposed to be about the cheating at UConn?

Actually, no. What
did he do on campus? If he raped someone or something, I'll retract. I just know KA's dad is a scumsucker.
Wait, didn't he turn in a plagiarized paper or something?
Multiple plagerized papers and had other students doing a good deal of his assignments in general for him.

How about you stick to things that were actually said rather than trying to side bar the the thread. I never claimed any moral superiority. I claimed you didn't know what the fuck you were talking about in
one particular instance concerning a program you don't have the slightest gleam of insight on. PEOS. At the end of the equation the simple fact is that Oklahoma was pushing a known cheater with no remorse out the door while Indiana was welcoming him with open arms and hailing him as the savior of Hoosier hoops.
As far as your little football blurb; I'm not even going to dignify a response to your grasp at straws effort to reclaim the high ground. Feel free to watch Oklahoma in March and April for the next couple of years while Indiana hoops performs like its football program has for time immemorial.

Feel free to feel warm and fuzzy that you were purging your school of a known cheater in one sport while throwing full support behind known cheaters in other sports. Oh yeah, and don't let the fact that the hoops known cheater was never actually run by your school cloud your judgement. Since you believe in invisible men in the sky so much I know that facts don't get in the way of your views.
As far as hoops programs go, I'll stick with what I've got and you can keep what you've got thank you very much. Good luck once Griffin heads to the NBA next year.

this is really stupid. your irrationality, Shine, is really out of control. and OU has a top 10 class coming in for hoops.

which is also not to mention (as SCS and i have mentioned) you totally changed the subject and *believed* in Kelvin Sampson. which, i know you did. you posted it on this board.

Yep I'm sure we'll have a horrible season next year with Willie Warren, Tony Crocker, Juan Patillo, and Cade Davis all returning and only losing 3 (one who has hardly even seen the court in his time at OU) other seniors with the #2 PG in the country and a top 10 post man from Oak Hill Prep coming in. Life's real rough for Sooner hoops fan currently... obviously we can't all be dungeon dwellers in the Big Televen and not even be able to garner an invitation to the CiB tourney. Invisible man in the sky... is that like Indiana being competitive in any major sport in the next five years?
