Why does m2 always post youtube clips of really gay music? If it's not Green Day it's Third Eye Blind or Men Without Hats.

Even the Counting Crows clip, which was one of the only good videos he ever posted, a lot of people would say that's gay, too.

m2, why don't you post some badass clips relating to the San Francisco music scene?

Here, since you're musically stuck on windchimes, let me help you....

Fuck that. I'd rather USC just somehow manage to get invited to the game against Florida, so they can beat Tebow. Of all the dirtbags to root against in college football, Tebow ain't one of 'em.

(Last year, I think USC beats Florida in the title game. This year, with a rookie QB and all that inexperience on D? Not so much. Still, I'd like to see 'em at least get the chance.)

Mgo, what, you don't think that's his sole reason for doing this?
It's hard to say. 200lio doesn't have any issues with going into hibernation mode and avoiding his lumps, bet or no bet. He's vanished plenty of times after a Cal loss, only to re-emerge three weeks later with a long list of excuses and a longer list of youtube vids showing all the "blown calls."

It seems he takes almost as much delight in Cal's losses as he does their wins because they give him a perfect opportunity to run his schtick. Which is that, you know, Cal has never legitimately lost a football game and that the final score takes a back seat to things like yards per carry.
Blueblood wrote:Do you want in on the bet... Mr. Magoo ???
Look, I know you're from the "West Coast", but seriously, you couldn't gather from my post that I think these bets are patently retarded? Think stoolio, think.

First off, I have no vested interest in this game other than the delight that comes from yet another Cal beatdown at the hands of a real team.

Secondly, if I win the bet, I stand to gain nothing, as I don't want you scurrying back to your chime-sconced treehouse for the rest of the year. I want you here so you can take your beatings the way a real man dressed in make up and fake armor should.

Lastly, you continue to avoid the additional terms/questions posed by Van, so really, there's no bet to be had.

You rip ND's schedule for playing the likes of the service academies. I then bring up some of the cream puffs that Cal plays. You dodge the issue and come up with some attempt at juvenile smack that's not even remotely funny.

Kinda, but not really. Brian Smith was a legacy who dumb fuck Minter didn't offer. The second Corwin Brown watched his film and offered, he commited to his father's alma matter. Prince commited to Iowa before his junior year and opened it up and commited with his HS teammate well before his senior year started.

Martin fucking moved to New Jersey to get away from all of the pressure from the Cali schools. There is one fucking coach behind all of this, and the rest followed suit. His name starts with a U and ends with an rban Meyer.

Not true.

He moved so he could graduate in December and enroll early at ND. Evidently, he would have had to attend Odowd all school year til June.

Keep up, Milton. He was considering enrolling mid year at ND, but his mother does not want him doing that. He left Cali so he didn't have to put up with Pete Carroll bugging the piss out of him. Carroll responded by telling Chris that he could not come to USC's rising stars camp this year.

His dad was Chris Smith, who played fullback [Zysdale]one year ahead of me at ND.[/Zysdale] IIRC, he played briefly in the NFL for the Chiefs after that.
Prince commited to Iowa before his junior year and opened it up and commited with his HS teammate well before his senior year started.
Prince later decided to transfer from ND, so it looks like Iowa screwed the pooch after that.

Meyer has been trashing Pete Carroll every chance he can get to recruits as well. Ronald Johnson said that after he went on his USC trip, Meyer was waiting with his mom for him when he got home and had been bashing Carroll and USC to her the whole time. It was the negative recruiting from meyer that lead RoJo to go to USC. There was also a story about how a OL recruit who had been a verbal to USC the whole fall, but lived in Florida with his mom, was thrown out of his moms house by his mom at Meyers prodding. The kids dad lived in LA and Meyer had convinced the kids mom that the kid would join gangs and no longer help her out once he got to USC.
Seems Meyer is a total douche who if he cant get a kid to choose Florida he goes after the kids mom

Hmmmm.

Areas concerning USC football where Shmick and I differ....

I will never advocate a boycott of ND, either by USC or anybody else. I want ND to join the Big 10, yes, but purely for selfish reasons, as I want them to do better and become a national title type program again. USC needs ND to be a marquee game, not an indictment of their OCC schedule. I don't want to render ND even more irrelevant by removing their biggest game of the year.

I will never advocate Shmick's occasional call to play dirty; to take out players from other teams.

I have no desire to see the Tebows taken down, via some church fraud deal.

I have nothing against the SEC, other than their scheduling and their ability to always have the media fawn over them, regardless of the season they're having.

I do root for the Pac 10 now, whereas he says he couldn't care less what the rest of the conference does. Admittedly, it's because of this board that I now find myself pulling for the conference. Before I joined this board, I didn't give a shit about conference bowl records, conference head-to-head records, or any of that crap.

A great blog/article on why I think Cal beats $C by at least 14 points in "Strawberry Canyon" this year.

Not only is Cal going to have the best defense in the PAC 10 (nobody in their right mind disputes this)... they're going back to the Tedhead offense that lit the scoreboard up like a Christmas tree.

A must read for Vannie and Shmuck...

http://thebearwillnotquit.blogspot.com/ ... -tour.html

Speaking of the new offensive coordinator for Cal (and long time associate of Jeff Tedford) Andy Ludwig ..... check out this blast he got off on Nick Saban and his vaunted defense that lead the SEC !!!

Too funny!

http://www.wildwestsports.com/wMessage. ... &id=789589

Saban in his remarks said they should have beaten Utah by 2 touchdowns
Former Utah OC Andy Ludwig was in attendance for Saban's lecture. Ludwig, who is now the OC at Cal,

Here it comes...
Later, towards the end of his speech he said, "You know, I'm sitting in the audience and I hear 'We should have beat Utah by two TDs' and I almost stood up and said, 'yeah, but you didn't.' It's kind of hard to win by two tds when you're down 21 points in the first half [1st quarter really]."

Fucking awesome!!!!!!!

m2, you think Cal will do the unthinkable, something which hasn't happened in eight years, and you think this at least in part because of a fluff piece you read on a Cal blog??

Are you fucking serious? What are you, twelve years old?

Of course Tedford says things will be different this year, and that he's much more enthused this year.

Every coach in history says that, when they hire new coaches.

Oddly enough, despite all the pre-season enthusiasm, most programs remain who they are.

The last time anybody beat USC by more than one score, never mind 14 fourteen points, the New York city skyline still sported the Twin Towers.

So, just hold your horses there, champ. Even when Cal did manage to beat USC, in '03, it took triple O.T. and you had Aaron Rodgers, not Shleprock, at QB.

You just take any win you can get, and run with it. You sure as fuck aren't beaing USC by 14.

The author's attempt to compare Cal's glacier slow ascent with USC's peaks and valleys was just comedy. That clown was actually trying to imply that Cal is building something that will eventually not only be on a par with USC, but also more consistent and long-lasting.

Right. USC's valleys remain higher than Cal's peaks. In USC's worst period in our lifetime they still went to six Rose Bowls, which is six more than Cal has been to since you've been alive.

As for Cal's D being some no-brainer "best in the conference," ummm, I think we ought to just go ahead and play the games, just to be sure.

See, half (or more) of USC's D will end up playing on Sundays. At best, one or two of Cal's will, and every season USC plugs in an entire unit's worth of players who are markedly better than just about anybody Cal ever has on their roster. There are rarely any players on Cal who could even play for USC, and that includes this season as well.

Let's just play the games, and let's see if for the first time in your lifetime Cal doesn't choke like dogs.

One time, let's see Cal win a big game. They haven't yet, not in the entire time you've been following them, so let 's see if they can win their first one this season.
