The one thing I never thought would happen did in this game. Arnaud played like it was his first game. Props to Iowa's safeties, they had him fucked up all game. I was more worried about the D than anything else. And while they didn't play great, I thought if the ISU offense would have played like they could have, the D should have done enough to keep them in the game. The game was ugly the first half. It may have been the worst offensive showing I have seen from ISU in a long time.

Props to the Hawkeyes.

I feel a lot better about our defense after hearing on the radio that UNI had 450 yards of offense and 45 points against South Dakota.........in the first half. Don't know (or care) how it ended, but maybe they're a bit better of a team (especially on offense) than I thought.

Going back to last year, the Iowa defense has now allowed a total of just 2 touchdowns in the last 4 games. ISU's offense will be fine. Arnaud is better than what he showed. Both him and Stanzi were just locking in on receivers. It seemed like they had decided before the snap of the ball who they were throwing to. Can't do that. There's a reason they combined for 6 picks.

Good news for ISU is their next 2 games are cupcakes. Kent State and Army might be the 2 worst teams in Division 1-A. 3-1 non-conference is not bad. Colorado is a game they should win. K-State is winnable too. That's 5 wins right there. Pull off a semi-upset of a team like A&M and you're headed to a bowl game. I wouldn't expect it, but it's not out of the realm of possibility.
