Minny has blown so many opportunities, and they can't stop Cal on the ground. I have no idea how they're still in this.

This is beginning to look like Fresno St-Boise St last night. The home team is trying to make a game of it, and they'll go into the half down only seven, but it just doesn't look like Minny will be able to get stops when they need them, and both teams are looking fairly weak defensively.

Not Boise St-Fresno St weak, mind you, but by the end of this game I wouldn't be surprised to see both Ds completely wilting.

Cal will wilt due to the enormous amount of jet lag they suffered by arriving 15 minutes before the game started due to poor travel plans.

Phil Knight chose their colors, and how they display them in a gaudy fashion?

C'mon. Really?

Sorry bud -- Oregon pioneered the "over-the-top-gaudy" look. No ifs ans or buts. And for another team, from the same fuggin conference no less, to use that same look is fucking stupid, regardless how you feel about Oregon's uniform choices.

Outside of that blown coverage I think Cal has played pretty good D. They're getting to Weber without blitzing and Minny's run game is non existent.

didn't you see it? all of Cal's team paraglided into the stadium. the captains landed at midfield for the cointoss.

Not true.

The entire linebacking corps got a ride to the stadium in the back of a van that was returning from a renfair.

Right off the bat Cal fumbles a punt, so I ask again...

That's a fumble by Minny. Not good.

If Cal loses this game it's because the walk from their locker room was up hill both ways and Minny got into the locker room at half time first and cal didn't get enough time to rest because they were still on the field.

Why the fuck do teams kickoff like that? You're so worried about the return that you just give them the forty or fifty yard line??

Cal's QB blows, btw. Load the box, stop Best and Vereen, and Cal has no answer.

Okay, for the record, Minny is in a tie game in the 4th quarter with Cal.

Minny.

If Cal blows this one then they have to officially change their nic and logo from the Bears to the Bare Cunts.

There's a reason we exported Kevin from Beaverton... he wasn't good enough to make Portland State's roster.

The refs finally gave 200lio something to run with if Cal loses. He's recording that PI from various angles.

The receiver did look to inexplicably see his body angle change. It looked like something jarred him from his original path to the ball. That's what Spielman is talking about.

They don't have a lead, so trying to milk the clock while not moving the ball would be stupid anyway.

Anybody wanna bet that USC isn't tied in the 4th quarter with 'em?

They just want to limit Cal's possessions. If they can do that by methodically running the ball and mixing in a few passes, great, but it's obviously not working.

Btw, m2, except for Jahvid in the first half your offense is getting its ass thoroughly kicked here...and so far Jahvid has once again disappeared in crunch time on the road.

Nice throw by Riley, finally.

Spielman just called for Washington against USC as his Upset Special of the day.

Another excellent throw by Riley. The guy is either money or brutal, apparently with no in-between.
