In any case, that tired, old Yahoo story makes no mention of USC cheating. It only describes Reggie Bush suing an agent for extortion, then it goes into some allegations concerning Reggie and the agent. There is nothing in that article about Mike Garrett, Pete Carroll, any USC assistant, a USC booster or even a single person associated with USC having done a single thing wrong...other than Reggie himself.

Moreover, in the three and a half years since that story first appeared, there hasn't been any additional stories proving Reggie ever received a car illegally, not even by leasing one.

mo taylor flipped his ford explorer that his aunt was "leasing" for him. not sure if she actually had a job. this was while returning to aa from some detroit house party (i think) while hosting mateen cleaves on a recruiting visit and was the incident that started the investigation into the fab five.

One of two things are going to happen here:
#1. If $UC gets punished Van will continue his apologist bullshit about how PC NEVER knew about anything and it's all a crock that the NCAA came up with because they have no legit evidence.

#2. If $UC does not get punished Van will run around like a kid in a fucking candy store telling all of us we're fucking idiots and we never knew what we were talking about from the get go. He will then claim bode on everyone and the $ucsters will continue their ways.

#3. Van won't say much of anything either way, because Van really doesn't give that big of a shit about any of this.

You can be certain that if USC doesn't get penalized very heavily I will not come in here crowing about it. All such a decision would mean is a maintaining of the status quo, and right now the status quo for USC is looking rather dim. I'm not expecting much from them this year; it probably won't be until 2011 that they should be good again.

Lax, notice that I only respond to these things about Reggie and USC. People say some shit - often referencing me in their snide rips on USC - then I come in.

In this case, all I mentioned was that we might have the appeals process to look forward to...joy joy. Once Indy mentioned postseason bans and vacating wins, I threw in my two cents.

No matter how this all turns out, I'm not going to care all that much. I've become highly disillusioned with the entire sport of college football, to the point that the only things still attracting me to it are the cheerleaders, the game day "event" and sometimes the games themselves.
