I like the look he gave Catouse after the hit, like is that all you've got?

Here's my other favorite Andrew Luck clip. Not a huge hit but he ran the fucker down during a tie game and saved (temporarily) at TD. A lot of QBs wouldn't have even thought about trying that. During the live broadcast all you saw was a bunch of green uniforms, thinking it was an easy TD. Then suddenly this white uni comes from nowhere and blows it up. That was the QB?

And for the record -- Eddie Pleasant is pretty darn fast.

Maybe a little small for an NFL backer. He might make a good SS. John Lynch went to Snodfart.

He plays "rover" for Oregon (which is kind of a good alignment against spread-options). Last year, he was a small OLB (6'1", 225 or something?).

But yeah, if he goes on to the next level, it'll be at SS.

At least three of our local "journalists" who actually have Heisman voting privileges have come out and said that they left Newton off of their ballots completely.

not like Pulitzer himself was a scion of journalistic integrity by today's imaginary standards. He and Hearst were scummy as hell. there was never any golden era of the 4th estate....minus the Boomer fantasies about Woodward and Bernstein. it's always been about creating the news and selling ads.

Newton is, hands down, the best player in college football this season. The other three finalists are all great players but a step below Newton. If something is proven later and Newton is stripped of his award, then so be it, but giving the award to someone else would be a joke.

But as I (and plenty of others) have mentioned, the Trust is between a rock and a hard place -- if Cam doesn't get it, it looks like the Trust has played judge, jury, and executioner, before the fact.

If he gets it, it's extremely likely he'll be surrendering it, for the second time in a decade (?, depending on how long the FBI and NCAA take to complete their investigation), which would be tremendous egg on their face.

Although, the clowns saying "if you won't vote for Cam, you can't vote for LaMike." Big difference -- LMJ sat out a game for a minor legal issue (which probably wouldn't have happened, except for Masoli and a couple of other fuckups making the program look like an off-field free-for-all) -- his eligibility has never been questioned. Knewnothing's eligibility has.

And chances are, if the FBI is that far up your ass, it's likely you did something very wrong -- ain't like local law enforcement -- the Feds don't waste their time unless they KNOW something happened.

[OU homer] Landry Jones has better numbers/statistics than both Luck AND Moore. [/OU homer]

You're speculating that he will be declared ineligible after the season ends, but he has been determined to be eligible right now, and he should receive the Heisman for being the best player in the country simply because he is. If they strip him of the award later, and strip Auburn of a national title (if they win it), then so be it. Maybe it's time....past time.....to clean up college recruiting and for the NCAA to grow some balls when it comes to enforcement and getting more proactive.

I suppose if you don't look at completion %, QB rating, interceptions, and avoiding sacks, you could almost make that case.

Except for the 1 stat that matters these days and that's W/L.

Since the advent of the BCS in 1998, only 3 winners weren't playing in the national championship game. 1998 Ricky Williams (broke the all time rushing record in a season), 1999 Ron Dayne (broke Ricky Williams' record the next year and Wisconsin was in the Rose Bowl) and 2002 Carson Palmer ($C won the Rose Bowl that year). Newton will be the 7th Heisman winner in a row playing in the championship game. That's all there is to it these days. The Heisman is a joke that I don't give a fuck about. The only reason I want A&M to have a Heisman winner is because that means we'll be in the title game which is all I really want.

i think Mo is making fun of OU homer boards and the 3rd graders and meth heads who post there, not being BTPCF serious here.

I guess that all depends on who you listen to...

Interesting. You don't think LaMichael would come in second (or first if Cam explodes), though?
Second place two years running isn't nearly as good as winning it once, but it's better than getting kicked in the nuts.

Two 2nds, and an 11-12 win season doesn't suck for recruiting.

Yeah but I hear that Harbaugh will be coaching Michigan's football and basketball teams to undefeated seasons next year, while also bringing a Nobel prize in physics to UofM in his spare time.

That won't do much for recruiting on The Farm.

We know you're going to hell, sinner. How the hell could you forget FJ2 in 2007 with his awesome 8-4 regular season record?
