Right now Geroge is busy undermining Egypt and pimping the ridiculous clown, Mo ElBaradei, as the next ruler of Egypt. Mo is one of Soros' lackies from the International Crisis Group.

There's no Reagan to step into that office and restore honor, alas.
By "restoring honor" I suppose you mean selling weaponry to the new Islamic government of Iran--while running huge amounts of cocaine from South America--to raise funds for death squads in Nicaragua in an attempt to overthrow its honestly elected government? That sort of honor? Of course you have the partially legitimate disclaimer that Ronnie was in fact in the midst of his growing senility--and was about as intellectually engaged with actual policy details as Palin, O'Connell, or a bar of soap.

As for the threat of an Islamic Egyptian regime, keeping a shameless appeaser like Mubarak only increases the risk, not the other way around.

So for decades we ask pay Mubarak to keep his people down and play nice with Israel. Now we're calling for his head?

The people of Egypt - so loudly championed by many for the moment - are fucked. Over and over we hear them say, "we don't care who's next, just get him out"...great plan, should last all of a week before the bloodbaths start.

VERY long story short, if the muslim people could advance themselves past, oh say - 5th century behavior, and play nice with others, it wouldn't be necessary for an @ssh@t like Mubarek to have been propped up to keep them under control.

I don't think there's any question that what assumes power in Egypt (and other places) will be more detrimental to the rest of the world's people.

the biggest problem we have is not middleaster savages being savages. it is enlightened more or less civilized western folk putting up with it.

should have stomped a mudhole in these fukks shortly after WWII when they first started acting up.

unfortunately at the time, we had to suck up to them in our popularity contest with the soviets at the time. now we do just because we are spineless pussies.

sometimes i look forward to the chinks running the entire show as they aren't burdened by such nonsense. they will just run as many over with tanks as it takes to snap them out of the 8th century.

I'm not actually a fan of our overall foreign policy.
Over decades, the U.S. has gotten itself so twisted up in situations that at this point there really is no 'right' path to take in some cases.

But make no mistake, if it wasn't the U.S. doing such dicking around, it'd be someone else.
Because the muslims are a group of people who unfortunatly require leashing - for the greater good of humanity.

And the muslims will continue to be a very big world problem.

Islam openly acknowledges that it's origin was with Ishmael.

Who was Ishmael?

Short Bible lesson:

Abraham was told by God that Sarah (his wife) would give birth in her very old age, a child -----> through which the Messiah would come.
Abraham did not believe God, because of Sarah's age ----> so he slept with his maid, Hagar instead -----> and produced Ishmael.

He was born out of disbelief in God.
And that is a scary thing.

From the bastard Ishmael ----> came Islam.
He was the progenitor of that "group" of people.

As such, in the manner in which the Bible often speaks of one who is a progenitor, it speaks of the future characteristic of an entire people.

God said this about Ismael - the progenitor (the Islamic people).

Genesis 16:12
And he will be a wild man; his hand will be against every man,
and every man's hand against him; and he shall dwell in the presence
of all his brethren.

Muslims can not only not get along with any other people, they can't even get along with other muslims.

A 'drive-by' is where you post to someone and then when they post back you run like a scalded dog. Like you did to me earlier in this very thread.

So you abhor the very thing you are doing. Are you a POS because you are a Christian or are you a Christian because you are a POS?
