The Texas overlord shit is old. Texas has been more of a bully since Nebraska announced it was leaving than they were the previous two decades+ in negotiations and as a conference. Nebraska was the school who proposed structured revenue sharing, not Texas. Oklahoma, Colorado, Missouri, and Kansas caved on that as a compromise for supporting the Texas schools getting rid of prop 48 (which the four of them had been fighting for since the mid 80s but could never get the fifth vote from the smaller "State" styled schools in the conference); Oklahoma State, Kansas State, and Baylor were the three schools who were upset about this arraignment when it was decided in 1995. Nebraska even fought against equal shares in 1999 and 2000 conference meetings when Oklahoma State and Kansas wanted it on the table. Structured revenue sharing wasn't unfair and Texas overlordship until Nebraska was no longer the athletic department benefiting from the structured system.
