He simply aborted a bad seed. What's the problem?

The rocket never actually shot anyone, but throwing a shard of a broken bat at a man could certainly get you indicted for assault and battery, especially if you take out an eye or sever the jugular, etc.

No doubt. Pitching in the series for his first ring and he's going to risk hitting the guy and being suspended the rest of the series? Roid rage is a powerful thing. Piazza had said after the intentional beanball to his cranium that Clemens was unstable and the league needed to look into him.

My favorite Rocket 'Roid Rage moment was in the 1990 ALCS, Boston vs Oakland, when he just stood there on the mound in the second inning mouthing furious rage at the ump. Surreal, and so intense that the ump of course had to run him immediately. It was sort of dismissed as his just being intense, but it was the juice talkin'.
