GREAT FUCKIN GAME, in fact, best game since flutie threw that HAIL MARY back in 84', this was an instant classic. Dont celebrate too long sparty, cause nebraska is gonna punch you fruits in da mouth.Papa Willie wrote:Give me one of those ET-shaped rabbit's feet, fucker.MgoBlue-LightSpecial wrote:
I swear whenever I watch Sparty - they win games like this every time. Hell - maybe it's me. Tell them to put me on their payroll. That was definitely one of the best games of the year. Outfuckingstanding.
Don't want to be a prisoner of the moment, but this one is tough to top. Basically ANY win over Michigan is pure joy (when they suck and when they're good, equally), and last year's ND game (fake field goal in OT) will be an all-time classic as well, but that win didn't mean as much as this one. This one was huge for a variety of reasons:Van wrote:Congrats, Mgo. So where does this rank among your greatest Sparty football moments? Does it surpass the 2001 Michigan game?
Eh, I dunno. MSU goes to Lincoln next week, which would put NU in the driver's seat for the Cash Grab game in Indy if the Huskers can hold serve at home, which they're kinda good at doing. I know the fightin' bradhuskers are no great shakes this year, but MSU simply doesn't play very well on the road in big games. From an Xs and Os standpoint, I think they should win the game, but I'm not sure how much this team has left in the tank. Tough and emotional wins over OSU, Michigan and Wisky consecutively and now Nebraska on the road. I fear a letdown is looming. Hope I'm wrong. I'm just glad it's a noon game.Papa Willie wrote:I don't think the B10CG will be anything but Wiscy/Sparty.
U damm right its HIGH NOON, in Lincoln!!! Look, I aint talkin' outta my ass here, I see nebraska running the rock forcibly down the spartans' throats.Papa Willie wrote:MgoBlue-LightSpecial wrote:Another thing is, NU had the luxury of a bye this week (aka Minnesota). Which was probably less strenuous than a typical practice.
Wow. To Lincoln. That could be pretty tough, and you're right - the chance for a letdown after yesterday may be pretty high. Still - if y'all are around close going into the 4th, I know who the fuck I'd put money on...
what the fuck are you talkin bout??? Nebraska is gonna physically force feed the rock down sparty's throat in Lincoln, and the REMATCH in the title game is ours goobie. Wisconsin is overrated, and the revenge match is ours, You never want to meet the same team twice in one season.'Goober McTuber wrote:Excellent game, props to Sparty. That is one nasty defense. Our special teams were a fucking disaster. Wilson made a couple of mistakes, but did a nice job of bringing them back. I didn't agree with Bielema's decision to call the timeouts, but he felt they could get the ball back and win in regulation. They lost on a video replay of a hail Mary, so I can't fault him too much for that, though they would have had good momentum going to OT.
It's not the end of the world. They can replicate last year by winning out, beating MSU in the championship game, and (once again) going to the Rose Bowl at Sparty's expense. On Wisconsin.

You guys are exposed now, teams know how to beat you, how do ya like dem apples?
They swept #5 North Dakota over the weekend, while Kalamazoo Tech was struggling with the Mighty Nanooks.Screw_Michigan wrote:At least you have your shitty fucking hockey program to fall back on. Loser.
nebraska is michigan but without a whitey throwing interceptions instead of rasta imposta. you guys should whoop their ass, except for, i guess, that whole in lincoln game, which is basically reiterating the same point you already made. i just wanted to say denard > that white beaner.MgoBlue-LightSpecial wrote:

eastern eagles, hats off to you. those homos are 5-3. one more win and they could have their first non-losing season since that glorious run in 95 when charlie batch led them to a 6-5 record.Goober McTuber wrote:
And how did your football team do on Saturday, chucklehead?
Wonder if they can do that same trick for the bowl game that they pull all the time at Rynearson where they invite 1000 high school marching bands to some bogus band off in order to pad their official attendance figures so they can continue treading D-1A water.Screw_Michigan wrote:Of course, if they do get selected for a bowl, taxpayers and students will certainly take a bath as NOBODY will be buying tickets for the roadie, even if it is the Pizza Pizza Bowl.
11 AM kick. Best get up bright and early to be certain the morning ritalin takes hold. Your welcome.bradhusker wrote: U damm right its HIGH NOON, in Lincoln!!!

Special teams were definitely the difference. Blocked kick cost Wiscy a fieldgoal. Blocked punt scored MSU a td. Letting themselves get backed-up on a punt contributed to a MSU safety. Can't underestimate the importance of "Beamerball".Goober McTuber wrote:Excellent game, props to Sparty. That is one nasty defense. Our special teams were a fucking disaster.
