yeah, I missed Santorum.
What I didn't miss was the liberal slant of that article and that site in general.
Perhaps I should start posting links to the AFA and OneNewsNow websites as a counter balance...
nah, people can find that stuff if they want to and spin it anyway they want.

The Bible clearly says...

Rejoice evermore.
Pray without ceasing.
In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
The first QB who throws a bad pick - and then kneels down in thanks to God, now THAT will be something.

a son of God, not God.
Christians recognize that Jesus Christ is God Himself.

I'm not concerned with what they believe, moreso with their actions and I can't say as the RLDS has ever really done something to piss me off.
But seriously, we're talking about this as how it relates to Romney's qualifications for POTUS, not the guy you want to teach Sunday school.
Give me one good reason why his faith should be the least bit of concern to me.

Matthew 26:29 But I say unto you, I will not drink henceforth of this fruit of the vine, until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father's kingdom.
Clearly a separation between Jesus as son and God as father. And he consistently reinforces this separation of himself as son being distinct from God as father.

B, God came to earth as the Son.
You're aware of the Trinity.
It was prophecied in the Old Testament that God Himself would come - and Jesus fulfilled it.
Isaiah 9:6,7
For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counseller, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.
On many multiple occassions, Jesus said He was God, and thus, He was the fulfillment of this.
John 10:30-33
I and my Father are one (said Jesus).
Then the Jews took up stones again to stone him.
Jesus answered them, Many good works have I shewed you from my Father; for which of those works do ye stone me?
The Jews answered him, saying, For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God.
Jesus said He is God and the Jews took up stones against Him because He made Himself God.

I was of a mind to dismiss your statement as simple message board trolling, but after watching you step on your dick in subsequent posts, I have one question for you:
Just what, pray tell, is your definition of Christianity?
I certainly can't speak for your church, but I can tell you that mine defines Christians as those folks who believe in the Resurrection, and accept Jesus Christ as their Saviour. Unless I missed a memo somewhere, Mormons most certainly fall under this criteria.
I can certainly appreciate your skepticism of Joe Smith's message and his wanderings across America as God's last prophet, but dismissive and scornful as you are, I can assure you that the Catholics are equally convinced that you will burn in hell for turning your back on the teachings of the One True Church. Do you feel any less Christian now because of the Roman Church's dogma? Trust me, pops, you're just as big a heretic in their eyes as the momo's. I'm of the thought that our Maker might just have a bit more Tolerance than you....

Truman, the mormons are having people believe in...
some Jesus.
They are using the
name, Jesus Christ.
They are NOT having people believe the Jesus Christ of our Bible.
They deviate OVERWHELMNGLY from Who the Bible tells us the Christ is, and they make up entirely
new things (different books) and attribute them to Him.
Mormons don't believe Jesus is God and they don't believe that Jesus was born of the Holy Sprit.
Of such, Paul gave serious warning - people preaching
another gospel, a perversion of who Christ is, giving people a
different spirit.
Galatians 1:6-9, 2Corinthians 11:3-4, 2Corinthians 11:13-15.
Truman wrote:Just what, pray tell, is your definition of Christianity?
A person must be
born again in order to see the Kingdom of Heaven - John 3:3.
1 Peter 2:18 tells us that Jesus was foreordained before the foundation of the world and was made manifest for us now.
And verse 23 tells us this about how we are born again (made "Christians")...
Being born again, not of corruptible seed (Adam's seed), but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.
We are made Christians (born again) through the Incorruptible Seed (a Spiritual Seed) which God plants in us when we believe and accept Jesus Christ.
What is the "Incorruptible Seed?"
Answer:
All of us have become separated from God (Romans 3:23), and yet He immediately promised us a way back to Him when the separation occurred.
Follow the trail.
Genesis 3:15 - seed of the woman, Christ, the Incorruptible seed, not Adam's seed
Isaiah 7:14
Galatians 4:3-4
Matthew 16:16
1 John 3:8

I'm wondering if Mitt's obvious lack of any principles beyond "i can do whatever it takes to become POTUS" is a big deal.
He may not be much of a man, but a President is going to have the rest of the ungrateful country whining for him to go against his principles anyway. Might as well not have any in the first place.

Ron Paul is not "In-it-to-win-it"...
He just feels compelled to use this as a platform to spread his kooky gold-standard/founding-fathers-cult-myth/laissez-faire nonsense.
If he could build a time machine and transport America back to 1789,

the republican party has done everything they can to marginalize Ron Paul because he's not a straight line party guy....they treat him like the crazy uncle thats invited over to family gatherings once a year because he's got no place else to go....
there is no way the republican party can suddenly do a 180 and start supporting him without looking like a bunch of fucking idiots....I like some of the things Paul says, but I just can't see him getting the nod....

BTW -- how about that corporate-hating Occupy Portland
Incorporated?
Let the pepper spray and billy clubs fly, baby.
I saw where some enterprising
capitalists were out selling gas masks before the clear-the-parks deadline. These folks are just a walking comedy act... I guess the word "irony" has been deleted from their dictionaries, although I'm sure they could look it up on their non-corporate smartphones with the non-corporate internet hookup.
They're also protesting BofA investing in the prison industry... by getting thrown in jail.
Yup, this from the folks who protest corporations hoarding their capital... who we've found out have around $20,000 in their own corporate coffers, but refuse to spend any on portapotties, and choose to shit on the ground instaed. They're also not using any of it to repair the damage they caused to the parks.
While all of the various Occupies are funny in a KYOA sort of way, you just knew that Portland would up the comedy a notch.
Last Saturday night before the evacuation deadline, a couple of my buds (I was too busy having sex) grabbed some brews and headed downtown to watch the skulls get cracked. They were rather disappointed by the remarkable restraint of the Popo, although gave a big thumbs up to the chick who chained herself to the Elk Statue (yeah, we put statues right in the middle of the street here... for realz), and then flashed her wonderful boobies for the cameras. They said drunk spectators outnumbered the protesters by a large multiple, which apparently the cops found very amusing. And of course, my alcoholic/sex-addict buddy joined in the kumbya-ing in an attempt to pull some young hippy tail... so very Jeff.
But I'll give the OPI crowd a little credit -- they start humming the Imperial March (Darth Vader Theme) whenever the cops show up in riot gear.
