Well, Cal would be one of them... being that they have the top defense in the PAC 12 like I've always said

To support Furd's claim (I just about puked) for being more highly ranked... the SEC only has 1 offense in the TOP 30 in the country ... while the PAC 12 has 3 teams in the TOP 30 in defense in the country while playing in a high powered offensive conference.

How can you call Alabama and LSU real defenses when you only have 1 team in the top 30 in the country in offense in your conference ???
Hell, not to mention the 4 cupcakes you get to play every year... just look at what Georgia Southern did to you last week. You gave up 350 yards of offense and 21 points to a team that plays in a division with teams like Central Connecticut State, Sacred Heart, Yale, etc,.
The year Alabama spent most of the time as the #1 team in the country and basically played a home game in the Sugar Bowl.... they were blown out of the stadium by a Mountain school (Utah).
I'll give SEC credit for "good" defense when they actually have to play "good" offenses on a regular basis.

This is what I need to happen.
LSU blows out Arkansas and subsequently wins the SEC Championship
Alabama loses to Auburn
Okie Lite loses to OU
Va Tech loses to Virginia
Stanford loses to ND
Houston beats both Tulsa and So. Miss
Houston vs LSU for the Crystal Ball.
Whadda ya say? Anyone? Maybe? You buying it? Non-AQ in the NC game? Huh? Anyone?

I figured Dins was talking about Cal (31 points - and just about anything can happen in the Big Game, no matter who's favored) and Oregon (30 points). I just wasn't sure if he was including Oregon State (38 points) or USC (56 - but "only" 34 in regulation).

So hypothetical games carry more weight than ones that are actually played?
God, you really are a colossal jackass.
And if Bama can't beat LSU at home, how do you figure they'd beat them in the Superdome?

Yup, ranking a 1-loss Bama ahead of undefeated LSU, who handed Bama the loss in Bama...
The dumbfuckery knows no bounds.
Maybe after the MNC game, they should hand the trophy to whatever team AP says is best, regardless whether they played in said game or not.
And whatever bowl game BSU ends up in, if they win, the trophy should go to the other team.

Stanford owns a road win against a very good USC team. Wanna tell me what Arkansas has done to merit such a high ranking?
Pac12BSH much?

You'll see that Arkie's SOS is stronger in pretty much all the computer polls. To deny that Stanford hasn't tailed off here lately would be a mistake.
'Spray, I place next to zero stock in SoS rankings that routinely replace one SEC with another as rote policy. Every team in that league benefits from artificially high rankings based on the artificially high rankings of their conference opponents.
Stanford has tailed off of late due to two simple reasons: 1. They recently played USC and Oregon, who would beat most teams in the country. 2. They've been decimated by injuries.
Let Arkansas play USC and Oregon while suffering from the loss of way too many key weapons and they would no longer have only one loss.
Last time Arkansas had the balls to play USC they lost 31-120 in a home and home series.
