No, Jsc, it's not all all luck, but they do seem to get every break. Can't recall the last time LSU got the short end of any stick, bad bounce, or fluke play. I can sure recall all the times weird shit went their way.
Like they say, it's better to be lucky than good, and LSU is clearly both.

Les Miles is a very good coach, but he is also the luckiest coach to ever put the head set on.
his teams have been on the receiving end of every lucky break there is, during their games.

Yes, Van, it is all luck.

You did get a huge break on the Mathieu TD.

And Georgia opens the second half with a fumble deep in their own territory, giving LSU an easy short field. A too-many-men-on-the-field defensive penalty on first-down makes it first-and-five, and LSU finally converts their first down. Next play...TD
The boatrace is on.

JSC is likely going to chalk up all those dropped passes and missed points by Georgia to killer LSU defense and not blind luck.
He can afford to. Shit like this happens nearly every time with LSU. Whatever weird shit they need to happen during close games...it happens.

Not even close to being caught. And Honey Badgers Punt return should of been a touch back, he threw the ball to the ref, out of the endzone, before crossing the line. but hey, they never get the breaks!

nah, no lucky break there, clearly ball out of his hand, before he crosses the line. That's a TD, you can start throwing the ball to the REF, at the 1, and call it a TD, these days!

First TD...a punt return during which a couple of clips were 'missed' and Honey Badger's little stunt actually should've resulted in a touchback for Georgia.
Second TD...a twenty-yard 'drive.'
Third TD...another punt return leading to another twenty-yard 'drive.'
I said it at the beginning of the game, and it remains true: Georgia was simply not ready for primetime.

Jefferson really is horrible. He can run a little because of that killer O-Line, but he sucks out loud as a reader/passer.
If Bama can simply keep the turnovers and special teams-play roughly even, they're going to shut this offense down to nothing again. This next one looks like Bama's to lose.

Don't know whether they'd beat them, especially in the Superdome, but they'd score quite a bit against them and make a solid game of it. They certainly would play with more poise than Georgia did today.
On the off chance that Barkley and Kalil decide to return for their senior seasons, hey, LSU and USC will both be preseason Top Five teams. USC would then be returning their entire starting offense and nearly their entire defense. Maybe next year we'll finally see LSU in a title game that's not in their home dome.

Was speaking of Georgia, not LSU.
Tigers are a helluva ball club, and as good as half-a-dozen others in the country. I believe, however, that if the voters and computers give Okie State the chance to bring its A-Game into your worl', you people will go home a runner's up.
The League did us a favor by putting us in the East. If you can get by 'bama next year, we'll see how well you fare against a XII-style spread in the CCG. From what I've seen from LSU this season, I like our chances.

Truman, y'all lost to Troy, for crying out loud.
Troy and Southern Miss are the "alternatives" for kids who don't get offers from BCS conference teams.
Mizzou's offense? Gimme a break. You can't scheme away speed.

And y’all lost to Wofford, Tulane, AND Vanderbilt all in the same year. Poets go to Wofford. Ancient history. What’s your point, Carson?

So our Texans are slow. Gotcha.
Georgia and South Cackalacky are good ball clubs; Florida and Tennessee are down; and Kentucky and Vanderbilt are just plug-awful. My point all along has been that with a year’s experience under his belt as a starter, I like James Franklin’s chances of leading Mizzou to an East Division title next season. Hell, 5-2 might win the damn thing. It ain’t like the Tigers are trying to compete with the likes of LSU, ‘bama, Aubie, and Arkie for the West.

It's the SEC deal. When your teams not involved, you root for other SEC teams.

Yeah, well, every time Bama or LSU wins another national title it only serves to widen the divide between themselves and Auburn, and 'Spray's sole concern should center on Auburn's declining status within both the Division and its home state. Auburn's rivals winning titles does not help Auburn. It hurts them. Rooting for it is asinine.

As long as Bama and LSU keep kicking your ass and once-a-decade freaks can't be bought (not brought) into your program to prop you up for one season, no, Auburn will not be alright. They will simply slip further and further behind. The result of Bama's and LSU's success is going to mean continued hellacious recruiting that Auburn simply will not be able to match.

We're talking cycles now, not just down years. LSU and Bama are clearly walking away from Auburn. As long as Miles and Saban stay put and those two programs keeping building success upon success, Chizik and Auburn will be relegated to afterthought status where it matters most, on the recruiting trail.
