I've not been a big fan of Sam for the most part. But, his work on the Chiefs this season has been great.

Sam came along about the same time Posnanski and Whitlock left. At first, he was pretty vanilla. Still is for the most part, but the Chiefs are an easy target. He's squaring them up pretty well in his sights now and saying what needs to be said. I doubt he could've wrote anything like that even 3 years ago, but he's growing into the job. Not long before he'll be gone as well, unfortunately. He's a good writer. If you send him an e-mail, he'll respond in kind.
